Asian City — Restaurant in Middletown

I am not sure if it's the host or the entire place that's shady. I ordered Pad thai once and asked to make it spicy, and it wasn't spicy at all. I asked for some red hot chili, and the server repeatedly said they did not have them. But I said you usually cook spicy dishes with them, which you have in your menu, but she kept saying no. The owner finally came out and gave me some. Ordered shrimp egg rolls, and it didn't have any shrimp in it. Went in there another time to eat in, and the place was empty - which I wasn't surprised - but the host said we couldn't eat in at all because she was the only one there. That was the last time I went to that place. But then I had to re- visit - which I said was a mistake for them ordering food from there - because a couple of co-workers of mine wanted sushi from there, but when I picked it up, it cost $40 total - $37 for 12 pieces of sushi and $3 for tiny shrimp egg rolls - probably with no shrimp in it - and later found out that if I had said the word "COMBO," it would've only cost $24 instead of$37 for the 12 pieces of sushi. My co-worker and I tried to ask for a refund and was put on hold for almost a half hour only to be told the manager would call back but never did. It is so sad for this business to trick customers this way and overcharge people for their meh tasting food. Make it a "COMBO" everyone, but don't be surprised if you order there and feel like you...

Ordered pickup there about two weeks ago. My order was fried rice (pork) lomein (pork) and an order of wonton soup.

When I tell you UNCLE ROGER would be very pleased in the rice. It had flavor like I was almost invited over to an Asian grandma’s house. 🥰

The lomein……. EUGH. I kept looking at my container because it was so tasty. The portions of pork was really nice. I could take my time picking between green onion or a little noodle, or a few bites of the protein.

BUT BAY BAY. What took me out was the soup. The broth was clean yet deep. LIKE ITS A LEGIT BROTH, not the take out taste but again ASAIN GRANDMA BROTH. It has the perfect amount on ginger, idk exactly how it’s made but…🥰 If I would have known the food tastes so good I would have sat in and ate all by myself. 👀😂

I must admit the food was delicious, Shrimps were large but for the size/portion is way too small. I'll take smaller shrimp for more broccoli😁 I recommend you use the square containers instead of round containers . two shrimp and broccoli cost us $34.00 The small containers are typically given when customers purchase small/lunch but you serve that size only for all your dinner wich are too small /lunch size for the $17.00 and the containers you serve the rice in are too small..usually always have too much rice lol. It appears that the small cups are actually smaller then the traditional white boxes used for rice. Unsure why there is only one size $17 shrimp broccoli and $3.00 soups....no option for larger size if your portions are small and cost $17.. Feels like I paid dinner prices for lunch portions.
