Coals pizza was fantastic, We ordered the garlic herb bread sticks, the brownsboro pizza and a Portland pizza. The Portland being the white pizza with a roasted chicken and arugula topped with carmalaized onions. The brownsboro is my friend Sam's go to pizza.
FANTASTIC flavor for the crust and bread! Lovely crispness with a perfect amount of crunch. The chicken was perfectly roasted and gave the beautiful smoked/ roasted flare to it while the caramelized onions also the bacon was fantastic to my taste and I feel many people would enjoy this.
Our server at the Middletown location was Caroline. She was very on top of all of our requests and gave us the attention and care I'd want in any server. Soft spoken, friendly, gentle with handling our orders.
Also the pictures below show our order and the look of the food. The Portland is the white pizza with arugula. I did not get a chance to try the brownsboro because I was too busy with the flavor of the Portland that I ordered. I highly recommend that anyone who likes honey with their white sauce chicken based pizza order the hot honey with it. I first tried honey on a white chicken pizza during my time in Chicago and found it fantastic. Works beautifully.
Also thank you again Caroline for being kind and caring and taking your time with our order! Was a fantastic...
Read moreMiddletown Location: What a great first experience! We went there tonight, a Friday, a little later after the rush. We immediately got a seat in the patio area. Our server, I wish I could remember her name but with her mask on she kind of looked like Ariana Grande, she was fantastic! So sweet and attentive. Our food came out super fast! We got the stuffed mushrooms with sausage as an appetizer, which were very good, and we got a half and half pizza, half was the Anchorage pizza and half was the Old Louisville. Delicious! Both were excellent! We can't wait to come back and try more! We loved how the pizzas are named after the different areas of Louisville. I also love supporting restaurants that use local goods. If you are looking for an excellent pizza, great prices and a nice place to unwind, look no further. Beware of one thing: if you have only ever eaten "American" pizza chains your whole life, you need to realize that pizzas home made in different kinds of ovens will have darker spots on the crust sometimes, or if you get one with lots of fatty meats on it, it may come out a little greasy. These are totally normal things with artisan pizza. I'm not saying the pizza was burnt or greasy either, it was fabulous, I just saw a lot of people being extra picky in the other reviews. Try this place it's great! Tip...
Read moreWe arrived at 6:14pm and we were seated at 6:25. The hostess sat us at a 6 top, mainly because when I said 4 with two high chairs she interpreted that as 4 adults and 2 children. As we were getting our 20 month old twin daughters loaded in the high chairs the waiter came by and asked what we would like to drink. I ordered a coke and so did my wife, he did not ask if our daughters needed anything and walked away. He came back a few minutes later and asked if we wanted to start with an appetizer. We said no and he said he would be back a few minutes to take our order. A few minutes later he returned and I ordered a red pizza with Italian sausage. He took our order and left. This was around 6:45pm. About 5 minutes later he brought us two plates and saw that my daughters were snacking on cheerios and said "I guess they have their food." I said we'll need two more plates, he said okay and didn't come back to the table until our pizza came out at 7pm. We still had to ask him again for two more plates. He never refilled our drinks, never asked if our girls needed anything to drink, and seemed to avoid our table the entire time we were there. Even when he brought the check, he didn't ask how everything was or see if we wanted dessert. We felt like we were being hurried out. We will not return with or without...
