Karara sports bar — Restaurant in Middletown

I placed an order online for pick up. We went inside the place was really nice. They had dining area and bar plus a back room with a pool table and music. It looks like a fun place to go for a night out.i got chicken fingers and fries for my kids and they were some of the best chicken fingers I've had in a while... perfectly cooked the fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was blown away. We ordered a fusion burger that was absolutely delicious. Their Indian style chicken wings were breaded and crispy and the hot sauce on them was delicious. They were also very big and they give you a lot. We also ordered a stir fry rice and pasta dish that was very good. Samosas were crispy and spicy and the sauces that came with them were delicious. You could boil some grass in rainwater for dinner, and still enjoy it more than the food at Karara (not exaggerated).

Some of the vegetarian dishes can literally be described as spiced brown water; no flavor whatsoever. I believe the chicken is just rolled in red-dye-40 food coloring, and again has no flavor at all.

The portion sizes are terribly small, but the cost doesn't account for it. They also charge heavily for only a small cup of water (not even bottled water).

Most seating arrangements are not even usable. The place is barely lit, and has no customers at all. Bad ambience.

I thought, perhaps, they don't specialize in food but rather, the bar and parties. However, most of my friends that have been there tell me that even those are not well-catered.

If Karara's management is reading, I would be more than happy to explore...

If I could give a - star rating I would. When a group if my friends and I went it was a slow night on a Sunday. The server/bartender was extremely rude. Told us we werent allowed to have any American food as there was not an American cook. However later he served burgers to people at the bar. He was very unattentive. We had to keep going to him to fill our drinks. Food was brought out randomly. One of my friends ( whose Indian) was brought his food and tasted it right away and it was cold.
