Best baristas in town! The staff and owners are extremely polite, patient, hardworking, and caring. If you like coffee, these folks know what they’re doing. There are also some wonderful options for milk alternatives and syrup flavors.

Have I mentioned the food? Because it is truly fantastic. As I’m writing this, they don’t have many lunch options, but I know they plan to expand the menu. What they do have is a lovely bakery case, and the most popular pastries are made by a skilled local baker (the kind that travels abroad to hone their craft; a true artisan)! Of course, those sell out quickly, so swing by early to check them out.

There is an outdoor patio and indoor seating. If you have a dog, and they are polite and trained, the staff seem happy to welcome your fur baby inside. Since opening, some things are similar to the old cafe, like the baristas or some of the furniture. Don’t let that fool you, though–it’s a brand new business. Previously known as The Hand Cafe, it had the atmosphere of a “small business,” but it was not locally owned. After the change in ownership, it’s now a small, local business. The name and atmosphere makeover is an intentional effort to combine the passion of the owners’ with the interests of the community. If you like to support the community, I highly recommend this cafe!

P.S.–That one negative review is odd, because they aren’t open on weekends. Sarah, are you sure you reviewed the right cafe?

Update (9/25): In response to Sarah's update, she originally posted the review on a Saturday and referred to her experience being that same day. As far as giving a glowing review, it was indeed in response to her negativity. There are only 3 employees, and no one fits the description she gave, begging the question behind her intent on leaving such a poor review of her visit on a closed Saturday 🥰 Btw sorry if I sound like an infomercial, it's just how I talk. I'm a detailed person. I promise I wasn't paid, Sarah, I just really like the cafe and have ADHD. Got carried away for sure, but it reflects my passion and good experiences 💕

While I’m sure this is a great place to eat breakfast during the week I would probably advise not doing so on a Sunday due to the lack of tables available to sit and eat with a heavy crowd. Due to that, wait time for food was at about 45 min to one hour which many people decided not to wait for. I was willing to do the wait just because I had been eager to try it out. Not sure if it was just a lack of employees or due to it seeming the whole kitchen was just high school students.
