Food: what was delivered to the table was good, authentic, and on par with a couple of our other favorite Mexican cuisine establishments. Service: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! We decided to try this place out, as Mexican is one of our favorites, and I was hungry, and my wife hadn't eaten breakfast. The parking lot was FULL at about 12:15 p.m. on a Tuesday. When restaurant lots are full, it is usually an indicator of good food. Not sure what the seating capacity of the establishment is, but I would venture to guess close to 150? It appeared to be at about 1/3 or so capacity. We were seated immediately by the hostess and provided menus and flatware. TEN MINUTES LATER, we were greeted by our waitress with glasses of water. Another five or so minutes later, she returned with the customary basket of chips and salsa. The salsa was excellent, and the chips were just right. About another FIVE MINUTES, after the presentation of our chips and salsa, the waitress returned to take our drink orders, two soft drinks ($3.25 each). A few minutes elapsed, and she returned with one of the soft drinks. I had to flag down another gentleman to request the second drink, at which time, I requested a second basket of chips. He returned a few minutes later with the second drink and chips. The waitress followed a couple minutes later with the second drink, not knowing that the other gentleman had provided us with the drink that was absent on the first delivery. At this time, she took our food order, enchilada de mayo for me, and a chicken fajita taco salad for the Mrs. It gets fun now...The wait begins...at this point, we had now been seated for close to 20 minutes, being tended to about every 5-8 minutes as outlined above. At the 30 min mark, our waitress presented me with my enchilada plate, and stated that she will be back momentarily with the other plate for the wife. Tic-toc. The waitress returned about FIVE MINUTES LATER, stating that my wife's meal will be out momentarily. My wife commented, "he'll be done before I get my meal," to which the waitress replied, "I know." TWENTY, YES, 20 LONG MINUTES elapsed before my wife's meal was presented to the table. And yes, by the time the waitress returned with my wife's plate, I had finished my meal. The waitress stated, "I have informed my manager of this." I am thinking okay, maybe there will be a bit of a discount on the bill for such a delay in the delivery of my wife's food, i.e., maybe a 50% discount on her meal? Who knows... I am 55 years old, so I have been eating out for a number of years. In all my dining out days, I have NEVER experienced such a delay in the presentation of plates to a table in a restaurant. I have experienced a 1-2 minute delay, BUT NEVER 20 MINUTES BETWEEN PLATES! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! It is customary to deliver all plates to the table at the same time, so that patrons can EAT TOGETHER!!! At this time, we requested a couple to-go containers, one for my wife's meal, and the other for the basket of chips, and drink refills in to-go cups as well, being that my wife had 1+ drinks at the table. The average cost to a restaurant for a soft drink is about $0.25 for the syrup...we didn't want to waste all that ice and water. While we were waiting for the containers, my wife was checking out her meal, to which she discovered two large CHUNKS of guac (see pic), which were cold to the touch. I haven't ever seen guac delivered in large cold, chunk form, so this guac was obviously NOT fresh, and most likely came from the fridge, where it was placed at closing the night before. She returned with the containers for us to pack up my wife's meal and chips, at which time the waitress stated, "I didn't charge you for the drinks. When you check out up front, and they question it, just tell them you only had waters." Well, HOT DAMN!!!, she comped us $0.50 for the drink syrup (Not sure if this comp was from our waitress, or the manager). Thank you so much for giving us such a gracious $0.50 discount for such...

Review:
First of all, I’ve been to this restaurant a few times before and had great experiences — until recently. On 08/01/2025, I visited with two friends, and all three of us are Deaf.
My food was okay, but my friend’s dish was completely wrong. We clearly explained our order to the waiter multiple times, and the blonde manager also confirmed it with us before going to the kitchen. However, the food still came out incorrect. When we kindly asked for it to be remade, it seemed like they just reheated the same plate and removed the ingredients we didn’t want, instead of making a fresh one.
I was interpreting for my friends the entire time, and one of them asked to speak directly with the manager. On the third try, the dish was finally made fresh and correctly. We also asked the manager to speak with the waitress about his rude attitude, both toward her and toward us.
Meanwhile, we waited a long time for drink refills and were generally treated with very poor service throughout the visit.
When the check came, the manager didn’t offer anything for the inconvenience — not even a discount on the meal that had to be remade three times. I went to the front and calmly asked if they could at least take half off my friend’s meal, given everything that had happened. The manager refused, saying, “We fixed it, so we won’t discount it.” We were confused and disappointed.
I then asked to speak with the owner or general manager. The blonde woman claimed she was the owner and demanded that we pay the full bill. I told her honestly that this experience was unacceptable and unfair. She then threatened to call the police, which I said she could do. When the police arrived, they did nothing to help resolve the issue and simply made me pay the full amount — despite the poor service and treatment.
To be clear, this is not about being Deaf or using our Deafness as an excuse to get a discount — that’s a misunderstanding I want to correct. What we experienced was a serious lack of customer service, communication, and respect. We were patient, polite, and clear throughout the visit, but we were met with attitude, frustration, and refusal to take responsibility for repeated mistakes.
This used to be one of our favorite places, and it’s truly disappointing to be treated this way. You’ve lost us as customers, and we will be letting our Deaf community know about...
Read moreI told the waitress I didn't have much time, and did she think I'd be able to get steak & shrimp, or should I just get a salad? No salad, because they're out of ranch. Bummer! They burned my steak, so I tried to get it done correctly, and talked to the manager, who said they can't cook steak medium rare, or really any steak at all unless it's well done, and agreed to just charge for the shrimp. She took the steak away, and brought me a bill for$10. $10 for 5 pieces of shrimp? I said I'll try the steak after all. She left for a long time, brought me a box with my previous steak, no bill, and walked away. And no one ever came back. By now I'd missed my appointment, had 5 pieces of shrimp for lunch, and was scared to eat the cold, burned steak that had been who-knows-where. I assumed after not being able to even closely make this meal correctly, the manager wasn't going to charge me, even though no one ever apologized. So I gathered my files, my purse, and box of burned meat, and walked to my car. As if all that wasn't bad enough, a different server came up and knocked on the window to tell me I was running away without paying! I've never not paid for a meal in life, but I imagine if I did, I wouldn't park on the other side of the lot to be in the shade, and bring in 14 files with me, and a giant purse. I apologized, and said I'd pay, how much do I owe? She yelled at me, and demanded I come back in. I've never felt smaller than I did when I walked up to the counter where they were all talking loudly about me. I tried again to explain, and was met by silence. So, food I can't eat, service that embarrassed me, management that humiliated me, and an experience that was terrible. But the murals are...
