Golden Chick — Restaurant in Midland

Ironically, this store used to be "Folden FRIED Chicken until the word "fried" became synonymous with health & Dangerous levels of cholesterol That is, if you eat there every day! If you only go 10 times a year or so as there is no empyrical evidence this will raise your cholesterol any significant amount if it is simply eaten in moderation, an indulgence, if U will!

Ironically, the fact that they still fry all of their chicken the same way they have always done &, To my best recollection, I don't believe I've ever seen rotisserie or anything like that other than FRIED CHICKEN available in this restaurant chain so I'm not quite sure what good it did to drop the "FRIED" from their name as they are not exactly a healthy restaurant but the chicken tenders are quite good actually some of the best I've tasted. Their food is it what 1 would consider to be a health food restaurant rather a once in a long time, an INDULGENCE of U will.

My 5 star rating as nothing to do with this food being healthier or unhealthy rather my rating is solely based on the cleanelines, moreover, a very pitter periodic indulgence as their tenders are some of the best in the world for a fast...

I went in to pick lunch up for my family today and was very disappointed. The woman at the register had a bad attitude when I asked questions about the menu (I was asking about the difference between a kids meal and a jr. meal). Fine, I get that the drive thru window was busy. No need for the attitude, but I understand feeling rushed. When I went to fill up my drinks, there were black flecks in the Sprite. So I poured it out and went with the orange Fanta. Same thing. I told the same woman at the register about the issue and showed her my cup, and yet again making it known that I was inconveniencing her, she turned to ask one of the cooks in the back to check it out. He came out and flat out told me the black flecks were coming out of the drink machine because no one cleans the spouts. I'm concerned this may be a mold problem and will not be visiting again, which is really disappointing because we usually visit pretty frequently for the roasted chicken. All in all, it was a bad experience and I would much rather make a further drive to a clean restaurant with...

We heard the manager of the Golden Chick restaurant on the radio and decided to check it out. The first thing we noticed was that the restaurant was spotless about 1:30 in the afternoon. It is rare to see any fast food restaurant that clean immediately after lunch. The counter person was most courteous and spoke English. As for the food the roasted chicken was superb. We have driven to Odessa to dine at another restaurant which specialises in chicken. Never again. We are "hooked" on the quality and value at Golden Chick. We are new to Midland. Golden Chick will be one of our regular dining spots. If you have not tried Golden Chick's roasted chicken try it once; you'll be a repeat customer. We have continued to dine at Golden Chick. The other benefit is you can call and they will check their inventory of roasted chicken. They have a staff member named Steven who is incredible. I'll call and he will check what roasted chicken they have ready cooked and hold an order for us. Again customer service with staff like Steven get five...
