Appearances can be deciving, don't be fooled. Look past the collapsing chain link fence and the broken patio furniture, past the gravel parking lot and the peeling paint. Behind these crumbling cinderblocks and iron barred windows lies the gateway to bliss.

This IS what you have been looking for. I have lived across the country and traveled around the world. And this unassuming building, Tank's Bar-B-Q, is what I judge all other by. They are the nicest folks, and good Lord... The BBQ.... Words cannot begin to describe. Even something as simple as a humble hamburger becomes more.

First time coming. I'd really like to give a 3 1/2 ⭐. Employees were really nice, ver welcoming. Couple of things I didn't care for: no menu except for Google maps or Facebook. My brisket was cold by the time I got to my office and I'm only a mile and a half away, it also had no flavor, just lots of sauce. Also, they only use a pad to write your order and you don't see your total. I asked if I could substitute beans for something and I did not know that was going to be a charge. Hands down the best brisket and hamburger I have had here in Midland and I've tried most spots when it comes to BBQ here. Service is 5star brisket was lean but yet still moist alot of people can't do that right and my BBQ critics know what I mean.
