Ā Ā Ā Read moreI REALLY wanted to like this place, but I will probably not be back. I have eaten here 2x and the first time was amazing. So much so that I tried to get here every time I drove to Midland. I finally ate here again today and I am highly disappointed.
The Pros: the meat is smoked to perfection and seasoned very well. The homemade cookies were extremely delicious. Solid 5/5 there.
The Cons: the sides are inconsistent. You canāt get beans on Saturday and the potato salad was extremely dry, which is disheartening because it was the main reason I returned, ended up throwing it away. The pricing is high for the value $34 for a 3 meat plate with two rib bones, one sausage link, and 1 piece of brisket, be forreal.
The highlight of my trip. The BANANA PUDDING. Yuck. This was the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth. I was so mad I could have cried. Artificial taste, they sprinkled something black on top, not a banana in sight and only two vanilla wafers in the entire tub for $10!! Iām a country girl from Mississippi I know what Nanna pudding should taste like, and this aināt it.
Overall, if you want to eat here, just order the meat and skip...

Afraid of being 1-2 minutes late called and enthusiastically explained their history of customer loyalty, politely asking that the doors be kept open for an extra couple minutes, promising they knew exactly what was wanted and would be in & out in no time. The cashier, while smacking her gum in the phone, rudely said āI donāt know, talk to the manager;ā to which his response was ālook man, doors close at 2pm. If youāre here by then, great, if not, it is what it isā followed by a dead line. Adamant on grilling they continued on, watching the clock closely. Approaching an unfamiliar business they were slowly able to make out āTall City Meat Marketā.
