Went there for the first time on Friday night on the recommendation of a friend and ended up walking out. We arrived and were greeted by a representative of the VA Lottery because they were hosting an event. Super nice, told us what was happening that evening and that someone would be with us soon. No one else is waiting to be seated. Several minutes later a waitress walks by and tells us she will be with us soon…we say great, thank you! The place is not crowded at all. We stand and wait. Eventually she comes back by with one menu to seat us and apologizes again. We say, no problem, thank you and then try to share one menu across the table. 10 minutes later she brings us waters and says she will be back soon. Us: ok, thank you. Meanwhile, someone that I assume is the owner visits the table diagonal from us (with drinks and wings) laughing and joking and walks away. We are still staring at the singular menu and the person that I assume is the wife also visits the other table with laughs and food. Meanwhile, we have decided on our appetizer and entree as well as drinks and no one has come by to take our order. After another 10-15 minutes we decide to leave because no one has come by to take our order. We say goodbye to the VA lottery guy and thank him for his hospitality and go somewhere else. I have a feeling this place will go the way off all the others if they maintain this...
Read moreThey have a great food and drink menu!! And multiple TVs for all the sports, wide selection of beers on tap, and pool tables for the hustlers. stopped in here for drinks as our car was getting detailed and can’t wait to come back and try the food. We didn’t realize that the old Bailey’s was now a sport bar serving up some legit Vietnamese food. I was so bummed that I had just eaten and we had dinner reservations later so I couldn’t try what looked to be an amazing, authentic menu. Oxtail pho, whole fish, shaken beef, frog legs and cuttlefish? Say less. Talking to the nicest bartender Sarah, we found out that 123 Dzo is female and veteran-owned. They do fun, family-friendly events like live music and even a drag show 😍. If I could give an extra star to support them, I would. Looking forward to visiting Richmond again and...
Read moreWe recently dined here as a family of four, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. While the food itself was fine, the service was severely lacking. Our meals came out at completely different times, despite being simple orders, making it difficult to enjoy dinner together.
It was clear that the restaurant was understaffed, both in the kitchen and front of house. It took an unreasonably long time just to place our order, and despite multiple requests, we never received drink refills. Our server seemed overwhelmed, often focused on bussing tables rather than attending to guests.
For a $100 meal, we expected a much better experience. Sadly, we left disappointed and would have preferred to spend our money elsewhere. If you’re looking for a smoother dining experience, Mekong might be the...
