Delicious ice cream, horrible customer service. I am not typically one to leave a negative review but I was beyond disappointed in my experience here and feel that the owners of this business should be made aware and possibly reconsider who they are allowing to serve their customers. I am not sure if Mica (the person working the counter) was just having a bad day today, or if she just truly hates her job and wants to make everyone aware of it. After hearing wonderful things about The Milk House online, I decided to take my husband there to get a sweet treat after visiting The Homestead Crater for his birthday. When we arrived to what we thought was the front entrance, we realized that the door was locked. We started to wonder if we were at the wrong place because there was not a clear label on the building. We began walking around the resort, where we bumped into an employee (I am assuming a manager of some sort) named Patrick. Patrick was super friendly and guided us to another entrance on the opposite side of the building. Patrick explained that the door we tried to enter should have been unlocked. He came in with us and asked Mica to please keep the door unlocked. After he left the building, Mica walked over to another employee and loudly said, "I think Patrick is just trying to piss me off today." She then proceeded to take mine and my husbands orders. Her body language and tone of voice were extremely negative. She acted as though we were inconveniencing her with frequent eye rolls and deep sighs. I asked if I could please order one scoop of the honey ice cream, and one scoop of the chocolate ice cream with honey drizzle, hot fudge, and brownie bits. (I know, that order is a bit much, but I have a sweet tooth LOL) Mica interrupted me and said 'You can pick two toppings. Not three. So decide on 2" I glanced over at the menu again to make certain that I had not misread it. The menu specifically stated that 'the build your own ice cream comes with 2 toppings, and any additional toppings are $0.79 each." I was not going to argue with her, even though I was willing to pay extra for the brownie pieces. The ice cream was super yummy, but due to the horrible customer service from Mica, I don't think we will be coming back. (Although based on her attitude, that is probably a positive outcome...
Read moreOh this place was SO CUTE! I had to resist the urge to order some of everything just to taste. I started with coconut and raspberry ice cream & I should’ve stuck to the sample because I wanted to eat food and take the ice cream home lol it was perfect! Then I had a chicken pesto spinach wrap which was toasted and also very tasty. It was fresh and high quality unlike the food at America’s favors asterisk/dollar bill coffee shop lol I was pleasantly surprised. I also had a lemon donut which was quite literally thee best donut I’ve ever had! I had a bag of natural kettle chips and they set the wrap off. They had cute little games on the table and it was reminiscent of a quaint coffee shop in a small winter town! I loved it and will definitely be back!
My sister, an avid coffee drinker (which I should have tasted but had no room) said the expresso was mediocre and that was heartbreaking to me but she would know! She had a blueberry muffin and said it was nothing to write home about either. It’s obvious we were at two different establishments 😂😂I included that because she tried things I did not and I like to be honest and neutral!
Would love to try the salad, other pastries, ice cream flavors, matcha/coffee, and cold pressed juice so it’s like obvious that I must return!!
Unsolicited advice: Press the stamp a little harder on the bag so the name is fully legible 😬 love the stamped bags though—so...
Read moreHands down the best artisanal, homemade, high caliber ice cream I’ve had in Utah. So creamy and smooth, I almost mistook it for gelato.
You can watch the ice cream get periodically churned in the containers so it stays fresh and yummy!
6 flavors of ice cream were available, of which I enjoyed the chocolate and sea salt caramel. The coffee smelled divine. Ice cream pints to go were available along with a variety of fudge and sweet treats. I appreciated the small selection of quality ice cream. Would rather 6 awesome flavors rather than 20 mediocre ones.
I almost didn’t go here when I saw the average 4 star reviews and that it was on resort property. I was glad to be proven wrong! Not a gimmick to lure in tourists. As a local, I would return.
Incredibly helpful, kind, and cheerful service.
Clean facilities.
Cute area....
