We will be avoiding Amy's from now. A few days ago my wife and I stopped for ice cream and she got a banana sunday which had vanilla ice cream, banana, and hot fudge. We stopped with the kids today and she ordered the same thing specifically asking for bananas and hot fudge. We get the ice cream and there is no fudge so we go back up and say she asked why there was no fudge and they told her that they dont do that. We mentioned she had just got the same thing 2 days prior. Their reply was a blank look on their faces like they had no clue what to do or say. So my wife's banana sunday was vanilla ice cream with 4 banana slices. Pretty pathetic an ice cream shop does not know how or what goes in to a banana sundae. Maybe its just the young people working there with no people skills? You are better off going the extra 5-10 mins to purple cow, old mill, or chilly willy. This place isn't what...
Read moreI was very excited to try Amy's Frost Freeze after hearing a lot about it from friends and family. I was disappointed that a lot has changed from the last time my friends and family have gone. They only have soft serve instead of hand scooped ice cream. The variety of ice cream has been simplified. Lastly, I was disappointed by the portion size. I ordered a small Brownie frosty freeze and my cup was only filled 3/4 the way up. As I ate my ice cream, I noticed people who ordered similar items, there cups were over filling. My friends said I got gipped and I felt I got gipped. My friends were sad the ice cream was only soft serve. The ice cream was OK but it was no different than Dairy Queen. I won't be making a trip out there just for the ice cream again. My friends ordered the cookie dough and oreo freezer. They said they got mostly vanilla ice cream and not enough topping in...
Read moreSizes are unbelievably big. A baby cone is huge!! I'm from Mifflinburg, but I live in Baltimore. We can't get things like that down here. Oh, how I LOVE Teaberry. It reminds me so much of my childhood and how my grandparents would go out of their way to get me Teaberry gum or candy. Amy's has fast service, even when the line snakes around the building. The prices are so cheap for the amount of food that you get in return. My summer trips home always include at least one stop to get a soft serve cone. I'm lactose intolerant and because of this, I get sick after eating it, so I don't eat milk products in my day to day life. Amy's is the exception and it is so totally worth being sick for the 2-3 hours that follows eating...
