My boyfriend, our 2 year old daughter, and myself came here for my birthday dinner. I was so excited because I ate here back in January and it was amazing, but this time it was extremely underwhelming.
It started out wonderful, our waitress was attentive and very friendly, my fried pickles, while delicious, were $8 for 6 spears... but well worth it, and my margarita was absolutely perfect.
Once our food came out, my mashed potatoes were dried out and hardly mashed, I found huge chunks of potatoes in it, and the gravy tasted burnt. My steak (medium) was incredibly thin, WAY under cooked, and more than half of it was fat. The only thing I finished on my plate was the broccoli, but it's next to impossible to mess that up.
My boyfriends burger (medium) was WAY over cooked. It actually crunched when he bit into it.
Even at this point I wasn't going to complain, but then I looked over to my 2 year olds plate to see her $5.99 mac and cheese and side of apple sauce. The mac and cheese was clearly Kraft box m&c and it had clumps in it where the noodles were stuck together so bad that my boyfriend had to cut it up with a knife, and the apple sauce was just a motts cup of apple sauce, which was the only thing my mac and cheese obsessed child even ate.
I told our waitress, who then got the manager to come talk to us. She said that the mac and cheese was box mac and cheese, and that it sometimes happen... (So why serve it?) She did offer us dessert on the house, which we declined, and then said she would see what she could do about our bill. Being that it was my birthday we were already getting $12.99 off my meal, but the waitress came back with our new bill to which they gave us a whopping $5 off our total.
Needless to say we will not be eating there again. If I wanted boxed mac and cheese I would have had stayed at home. It would have cost $.34 and...

Just the right amount of lighting. Booths, tables both std height and the currently fashionable bar height .j.R's also has enough.chairs at the bar to sit the softball team.
**Wheelchair accessible no problem.
We were greeted and seated by.fresh smiling faces .My father in law has Alzheimer's so we have certain issues . The staff was most accommodating. My father in law had clam chowder&/sr chicken strips (portion size is 3)with coleslaw. I had the senior steak with rice. ( Portion size 7 oz steak with about a small ice cream scoop portion of rice) tho normally served with fries OR,coleslaw OR apple slices OR cottage cheese.no soup no salad just rice and steak for $10.99.( poor value) My father in law enjoyed all the food .I felt the chicken strips were unusually small .Cooked perfectly, coleslaw looked very fresh with both green and red cabbage. Staff was delightful and the food was served really quickly, just the right tempature. They have long island ice tea specials$3.99 and martini deals they may have others but i didnt notice them( I do not drink). Std menu fare ribs, shrimp, steaks, chicken, etc (think longhorn or Texas roadhouse) Appetizer has a couple suprises tho we didn't try them seafood poppers sounded good... If your one of those fried pickle people your all set. They have those. I would come back but for $2.00 more I would order the regular 7 oz steak dinner or chicken strip meal ( bigger portion and soup or salad plus veggies)and take home any left overs. Limited desert menu ,chocolate cake, cheesecake, carrot...
Read moreIt's our 28th anniversary today, we just wanted a good meal close to home. The waitress told us the specials which included prime rib and margaritas. I had to send my drink back, I could not drink, no big deal I'm picky about margaritas. My husband ordered the king prime rib and I ordered the chicken chimichanga, the waitress checked with the kitchen staff and let us know they were out of that size so he ordered the smaller one. The waitress then informed us that they are out of prime rib. She said if we want to try it we need to come back another, but come early because they run out every Friday and Saturday. Not the best business practice to offer a special and never order enough. My husband found something else from the menu. The first bite of my chimichanga all I got was onions, I picked through and tried a piece of chicken but could only taste onions. I had my husband try it and all he could taste was onions. We just asked for them to remove it from the bill and bring a carry out box for my husbands food along with the bill. I thought they had not removed my dinner from the bill because it seemed high, but they had charged us for the prime rib dinner. We had someone go find her so it could get the correct bill. She tossed the new bill on the table and said we didn't need to tip her and walked away. We left a tip anyway because the food was not her fault niether was the drink, her attitude at the end was but I have never left without tipping. We would have appreciated an apology but didn't get it. We have never written a bad review without going back for a second time, but we will not be...
