Oh Tokyo — Restaurant in Milford Charter Township

Oh Tokyo is a small, unassuming sushi restaurant on Milford Road that serves up some of the best sushi in town. Tucked away in a quiet strip mall, this hidden gem is a favorite among locals and workers from the GM Proving Ground.

I first discovered Oh Tokyo a few years ago(pre covid) when I was looking for a place to get a quick lunch before a meeting. I was immediately impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. The fish was always fresh and the rolls were always perfectly made.

Since then, I've been back to Oh Tokyo many times, and I've always had a great experience. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. It's the perfect place to enjoy a quick bite to eat or a leisurely meal with friends and family.

Some of my favorite dishes at Oh Tokyo include the Spicy Tuna Roll, the Salmon Avocado Roll, and the California Roll. I also always order a bowl of Miso Soup. The soup is always flavorful and comforting. For lunch, you can't beat one of the Bento Box specials.

Update 1 year later: Quality is going downhill fast. Received several orders where the food was overcooked and overfried. I highly recommend steering clear of the Curry Chicken Tempura. Sauce, chicken, and rice were all done poorly. We likely won't be back unless it's just for the Las Vegas roll. The service dining in was still great on our last visit. The place is usually pretty empty.

If you're looking for good, traditional Japanese food, try Aji-Ten in Canton. The owner/chef used to be partner at Cherry Blossom back when it was awesome - he was the reason it was.

If you're looking for decent, inexpensive sushi... Well I'm running out of places I'll trust, and I like my homemade sushi better. Oh Tokyo is USUALLY acceptable for what they charge on sushi. I stick with the roll that's been consistently good.

I drove past Oh Tokyo a million times, and have been wanting to try it for years... Until today. Every single thing that we ate here was crafted superbly! From the presentation, to the flavors, our expectations were greatly exceeded. I was pleasantly surprised with the diversity of the menu. The were some great Japanese dishes, and favorites, but there were also some of the best dishes with their thai, and Chinese offerings as well. The sushi was perfect. One thing that in my humble opinion defines sushi, is the rice. The sushi here did not disappoint, and was assembled in a superlative manner. The fish was fresh, and a higher grade as well. I will definitely be returning to sample some of their thai fare, as well as more of their splendid sushi. Very deserving...
