Bert's Deli — Restaurant in Milford

I've been going to Bert's for a few years, and I've never been disappointed. I always place the same order, so when I call. I greet them with my name and they say "The Usual?"

The usual is a corned beef Reuben on seeded rye. simply the best in the immediate area. They always make it with just the right amount of kraut and dressing. The bread is never soggy or stale,

I love the owners and staff, and like watching them interact with their customers — always with courtesy and depending on their familiarity with each individual, a playful quip at checkout.

On days off from school and/or in the summer, I bring my granddaughter, who craves the egg and cheese on a hard roll at Bert's even if the Golden Arches is offered as an option at lunchtime.

The front counter and kitchen staff flow like clockwork, and even during the breakfast and lunch rush times, the wait is...

Bert's is the worst. This is my first review of on this site, and it takes a lot to get me ticked, since I've worked in customer service and the food industry myself. Ordered a sandwich that was called Mr. Macharelli. Covered in balsamic vinaigrette slime so and. When it was returned because it couldn't be choked down, a new sandwich was made without the dressing. The server came in and said in a very hostile tone, "By the way, you have to pay for this!" Return a gross sandwich, get another sandwich because you're dissatisfied, and you have to pay. Just called the manager who was too busy yelling at me and defending her poor service practices to listen. Nice job Bert's. You just lost a lot of customers. Learn what customer service is!! Went in yesterday ordered during my lunch for work. As I'm pulling in this creep at the register is stareing at me while I park and I walk in. Nice and quiet I order my sandwich I'm waiting a decent amount of time but it's no worries I got a hot sandwich the guy cashed me out he took my chips and drink put in a bag and left on the side. 5 minutes later he gives me bag very cockilly not even looking at me. He didn't even say what I ordered he just handed the bag and I left he gave me the completely wrong bag and order. This new ownership is failing hard core don't fix what's not broken. Went without lunch...
