SOLID teriyaki — Restaurant in Mill Creek

Absolutely, by far, the best teriyaki around. The owner is kind and gracious. Prior to Covid I would eat inside the restaurant, which is nicely decorated, always clean, and very peaceful. Since Covid hit I have not felt safe to eat from any other establishment other than this one. I call in my order and it's always ready on time, I can go in and out within a few minutes, and they are vigilant about respecting health dept guidelines, always wear masks and clean the card reader after each use, and don't allow people to hang out inside unnecessarily. Their prices are fair and the quality of food is excellent. I always tip 20% because they go out of their way to provide great service and I appreciate it, especially when so many other places don't show the same effort. I know this sounds like a "too good to be true" review, but it's not. I have great respect for people who show others great respect, and feel that they deserve the communities support and business. Was really excited to try this new place. Tried calling several times and kept getting "the wireless subscriber you are trying to call is not available". First mistake to owning a business - at least answer your phone during business hours, and be sure if you are using a cell phone, that you are being professional about it. So I decided that they must be too busy to answer so I decided to drive there and just order in person. After all, they were listed as open. I arrive to find the door locked, as did the 2 others that were there when I arrived. I caught the eye of someone inside and motioned to my phone. He came to the door, opened it, and said that they were closed because they were too busy and ran out of too much to be open. So here's my suggestion to you if you are trying to keep a new business going - at the very least ANSWER YOUR PHONE; second, KEEP YOUR DOORS OPEN and just explain what you are out of; third, be better prepared for your traffic flow, track you business and if it is getting busier, ORDER MORE. Holding true to its namesake, this place is SOLID! I was pleasantly surprised to bump into an old friend who owns and operates the restaurant. Since moving back to WA, I've been looking for new restaurants to have on rotation. The food here is legit (I would highly recommend even if I didn't know Tom), decor is nice (although as of June 2023 it's take out only) and It's a family-run business (which I love to support).
