Unfortunately I can't rate the food and drinks because we didn't make it that far. Went for happy hour, sat down, the place was about 1/4th full but filling. We sat down and were greeted by the waitress. She gave us menus and disappeared. After a minute of watching her walk around we flagged down who ended up being the manger and asked for some happy hour menus. All was fairly well at this point. About 5 min in a member of a large party arrived at another table to say there were more coming. At that point we didn't exist anymore. We watched this waitress look like she was lost. We just sat there and waited for anything. No, water, no, "I've got a big party coming, can I get a drink or food order in", nothing. After 15 min the waitress finally came over to ask us what she could get us. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was super polite and offered us a round of drinks or what could he do to make it up to us but I said we were leaving and I really just wanted him to be aware of the very poor wait staff. He apologized profusely again and hoped we would come back a different time. Unfortunately my wife has been here a couple of times before and had similar not so great service by the same waitress. I know they are new but unless they can get more consist waitstaff I won't be visiting again which is a shame, I really like the potential of this place. A note about the level of service it would have taken for me to not have said anything, spoke to the manager and walked out.......a simple communication that we existed and what was going on if she was busy or not. Which she wasn't, just poor...

My partner and I like the mushroom burgers here. They make a good cocktail. The beer list is good.

But God forbid you show up after 7pm to get dinner. Once we were turned away at 8:45 on a Sunday night, told they had already done last call because it was too slow.

Tonight we were there at about 9:15 (Saturday night). Their advertised closing time was 11:00 pm. The waiter showed up and says, "oh, you're gonna want food and everything, huh?" I should have just left then. But yes, we came to the restaurant to get food.

We ordered cocktails (easy ones). We ordered dinner(both of us got the same thing: mushroom burgers). We ordered a beer each.

By 9:45 they asked me if I wanted a box. I had half a burger, half a beer, half a cocktail, and the baseball game was not even over yet.

By the time they brought us our check, effectively demanding we leave, I had to leave half my beer on the table, and it was still over half an hour before their advertised closing time.

We paid and left over 20% in tip, as we always do.

I'll never go back. I know when I'm not wanted, and I'm not in the habit of being where...

We must have caught them at the end of a busy weekend - having reviewed the online menu I was pretty excited about trying them out, but was sadly disappointed. I even double checked to be sure I had gone to the correct restaurant. Ordered: Roasted Mushroom Burger - basic bun, not even warmed, the burger was lost in the bun it was so small, and a few pieces of iceberg lettuce, a few lightly cooked mushrooms not the roasted blend of crimini and portabello as stated in the menu, and there were no caramelized onions, and the garlic aioli? I'm not sure what was on the burger, but it wasn't that - McDonalds makes a better burger; Northern House Salad - primarily a iceberg lettuce and 3 pieces of arugula (yes, there were so few, it was easy to count); shoe string fries - luke warm, and chewy from having sat around too long. Should we have sent it back? Probably, but we had already waited 35 minutes and were too exhausted to go elsewhere. But we won't return, and we won't recommend either. They have a great menu, but unfortunately, the reality fell very short...

We had heard a lot of great things about Northern Public House, and were excited to try it out, but left disappointed. First, be aware it gets VERY loud inside, so sitting outside is as good option, though the hostess tried to seat us directly outside the large open door, despite our request to be in a quieter area, so we asked for a different table. Prices on most items are too high, especially drinks. $7 for a cider pour that wasn't even a pint is ridiculous. The food was decent, but burgers/entrees were priced a few bucks too high. Our server was either stoned or just apathetic, because he was quite out of it, not terribly attentive, and we had to get his attention several times to address needs. The food also took far too long to come out. Almost 10 minutes just for drinks, almost 20 for the appetizer, which only arrived a couple minutes before the entrees. With so many other great choices in the area, we will not be returning to Northern Public House.

The Northern Public House has the best Bloody Mary! The garnish is great, but more importantly the mix is incredible. I just had one of their Bloody Mary's today, and they changed the mix. Both versions of the mix are great! The vodka, pepper infused, completes the flavor profile to perfection. Although the Bloody Mary is my go to, the beer selection is extensive and always has something new and delicious to try. The food is also fantastic. The tacos are really tasty, and the quesadilla is the best I've ever had. This is a great place to be if you want to watch sports as there are over a dozen TV's, or if you just want to get some food and have a drink. Hands down, the best spot in the Mill Creek Town Center.

A very standard restaurant/bar that didn’t really stand out in any way. I didn’t feel like there was anything that made this place different from any burger bar options in the area. Burgers were good but the buns are a little airy as you can see in the photo. Totchoes were worth the tater-lag you get from early too many potatoes. Might stop in again in the future but if I’m looking for a burger in the town center, I’ll probably stop at Blazing Onion instead. Side note: please use normal size plates. I shouldn’t have to worry about tater tots or fries falling off my plate when I try to pick up the burger.
