I’m not usually the type to leave reviews, but what just happened at Chipotle needs to be said.
I walked in hungry. Left confused, grossed out, and honestly a little sad.
Let me paint the picture:
• The chicken was somehow burnt and cold. I don’t know how that’s even possible. • The rice tasted like someone spilled cleaning spray on it and just served it anyway. • The beans were mushy, salty, and had the texture of old gum. • The guac? Brown. Not just on top. All of it. Brown. Like they made it three days ago and hoped nobody would notice. • The lettuce was warm and wet like it had been sitting in someone’s pocket. • And everything was slapped into a bowl like they were mad I even showed up.
But the worst part? There was zero flavor. I added hot sauce just to feel something. And the whole time, the staff looked like they were one burrito away from quitting on the spot.
I used to love Chipotle. It was my go-to after work, on road trips, even during college. But this? This isn’t the same place. It’s like they gave up. No pride, no care, no quality.
And if you’re reading this and thinking, “It can’t be that bad,” go ahead. Try it. Then come back and tell me I’m wrong. I dare you.
Unless corporate completely overhauls how they prep, train, and serve, I’m done. And judging by the looks on everyone else’s faces in line… I’m not the only one.
This wasn’t a bad meal. It was a...
Read moreI came in to get my daughter a steak burrito bowl, A nice young lady was making our bowl, and when she was getting the steak, they had no more steak in their container so the serving spoon was not filled up like usual when they serve you, so the young lady gets me a little bit more steak in the back because they are out then a rude lady Name Maria! interrupts and says “oh this Is enough”and does not put the rest of the steak that she got in the back to put on my bowl. I was trying to explain to her when the young lady was putting steak the serving spoon was not filled due to them not having enough steak, but she was not understanding me then she tells me oh we only put 1 ounce steak that little 1 ounce cup that they have, which is ridiculous because that serving spoon will not fit that cup and giving me a ultimatum saying do you want it or not not even trying to hear my side I could definitely pay for extra portion and I even have extra points to get free portions, but the fact that she just assumed it was rude and being bossy did not make any situation better. I’m not understanding maybe Maria was having a bad day, but she should have not put it on...
Read moreI arrived at Chipotle around 10:40 PM. When I got in line, I had to wait about 5 minutes while the employee was cleaning the food station. The restaurant was open, but instead of serving customers first, the employee was already focused on cleaning. I just stood there watching him clean before I could even order.
I finally paid for my meal around 10:47 PM, sat down, and started eating. At the register, nobody mentioned that the dining area was closing at 11:00. Yet exactly at 11:00, the staff told me the restaurant was closed and I had to leave.
So, why didn’t they say at the counter that it was “to-go only” at that time? Why let me wait, pay, sit down, and start eating, only to immediately ask me to stop and leave? What am I supposed to do—throw away my food or walk out into the street with it after I was already seated and eating?
This shows poor organization and a lack of consideration for the customer. If closing is strict at 11:00, staff should stop dine-in orders earlier or at least inform customers clearly at the register. Instead, the experience felt careless and...
