I was super excited to see bubble tea at Short Hills mall. Opened three weeks ago.
Can adjust sugar and ice preference like other bubble tea places! BUT read further…
Jasmine green tea with pearls - tea flavor was decent but the guy was confused how to make it as soon as I asked for no ice. He was like but the tea is hot so if you get no ice the tea will be warm? I don’t have this issue when I go to other bubble tea places.
And after person struggled making my jasmine green tea, he sealed it up and gave it to me with no pearls! He was not busy. I was the only person there when I placed the order so he had to open seal and add pearls.
Pearls? NOT GOOD. Hard in the middle. Over cooked on outside so too gooey.
Watermelon slushee was good though I think I didn’t realize they added sugar to it. I should have asked for no syrup. Seems unnecessary when watermelon is sweet.
The guy who took my order was helpful in answering my questions. The other person behind counter did not seem overly friendly.
Because it’s new I think they’re still working kinks on customizations of your order. May be better to just order standard. Skip pearls. Not made right.
It’s also pretty expensive but probably because it’s inside Short Hills mall.
Would not go out of my way...
Read moreThe drinks are fine and the real mango fruit used are definitely delicious, but had a pretty annoying experience with their service. We have a baby girl who loves fresh mango, but we don't want to feed her the slush since it has a lot of sugar, so instead we paid for EXTRA mango chunks and tipped $2 on top of the drinks we ordered and all we wanted to do was get the extra topping in a separate cup we could feed our baby girl with.
The lady said ok and already put half my toppings into another cup, but then the supervisor told her no and she apologized and dumped it out. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume the guy isn't trying to be mean, and it's probably some company policy. I hope they change the policy because it was a pretty negative experience as a customer and makes me not want to order from there anymore and definitely doesn't make me want to...
Read moreIf I could rate this store a -0 I would. The lady named Wendy and her coworker were rude. We ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and tapioca for my daughter and we always order it on the side and dont mix it in her smoothie (scared of sipping the tapioca and choking on it). But Wendy insisted even my little girl begged for it with a thousand please. I went to different stores before than this and we never had an issue for a smoothie store. The other lady was just rolling her eyes. We did not mean to be annoying but it was a simple request and could not even give in to that. Me and my husband were pretty much upset and we will be telling anyone we know about our experience. We feel so disgusted and awful with the experience and to top if off while we were in line, they were talking about how customers are rude when they were rude and...
