Hokulia Shave Ice SLC Millcreek — Restaurant in Millcreek

Terrible!

I looked at their menu on hokuliashaveice.com, which IS their website, which says they sell cookie dough caramel ice cream, and the guy at the register told me, “That’s not our website” and then I showed him that it was his business’s website, as it was linked to their location through GPS system and app! He then was like, “Well I’m sorry but we don’t sell that here” which I then just turned around and left frustrated and disappointed saying to myself, “What was that all about? What just happened? Is he an idiot or something? I showed him his business’s website, and literally was clueless as to what the website was and that it says that they sell cookie dough caramel ice cream.” How could the employees be this idiotic? It’s their website. Obviously I know more about it...

Stopped by this location because the one near our house closed.

Three kids were running the stand at 8:00 on 6/28/25 and one kid never did a single thing and just stood around joking with the other two and produced one snow one about every ten minutes while customers waited and watched them goofing around. The two boys were swearing and just didn’t seem to comprehend that they had a job to do and weren’t being paid to play around.

They were out of several items and took about 30 min for us to get our order with three people ahead of us.

The tables were filthy and I ended up getting red syrup on my pants (which I assume will stain) from the tables not being wiped.

Prob wouldn’t recommend...

I’ve come to this location multiple times this summer and they do have excellent tasting snow cones, no doubt about it! Today I went up to the window and paid with cash. I could tell the girl was irate for some reason. I gave her the money, and I had two cents in change coming. She asked me if I wanted my change and I said no. She then threw the two pennies at the tip jar on the table in front of me. Evidently she really wanted a tip. When I got the shaved ice, it was about 2/3 of the size that it should have been. I don’t think I’ll be going to this...
