Mckelvey's Pub — Restaurant in Millersburg

Honestly, I think the bartenders had a bad night. When we got there, the crowd was rough and loud. There was a lot of stuff happening that I don't think would fly elsewhere. Unfortunately, we were treated as if we were part of that. This is our first time in the town so it was unfortunate. I had three drinks and the bartender made sure I was aware that it was my last drink (on last call). She slammed my tab down when it came time to pay. We sat next to a local who recognized we felt out of place but that it "was normal, don't feel bad". It's unfortunate because the staff seemed nice. Excessively drunk idiots at the tables seemed to ruin it for everyone. Last call was a half hour before closing on a packed house. There was one individual who seemed to annoy both patrons and the bar staff and we were told that was the owners son. Take that for what you will. I feel bad for the bar staff and it's probably a nice place prior to the family and locals showing up.

Edit: I'd like to add we're staying at a local hotel who encouraged us to avoid this bar. This was the only place open and we have them the benefit of the doubt. Our experience seems to align with most of the other reviews,...

My family and I Were visiting Millersburg and looked up reviews and decided to try this place out. Big mistake after going to the bar to order it took 50 minutes to get our food Two subs One sandwich One 3pc chicken tenders and tots the place was moderately busy but calming down fast. A group of 15+ people came in behind us and ordered food they all received food before us. Ok fine. Then recieved our food all separate 5+ minute between each my son ordered philly cheese steak veggies were not cooked cheese not melted.was half cold you could taste the garlic and oil that was on the veggies as they should have been cooked. My sub was cold cheese not melted much not baked. No in door complaints from me as I feel someone may do something to my food if sent back or complained waitress was not very friendly as she seemed over worked lady and man @ bar seemed very nice. Was never offered a refill but did get one when asked for. I spent over 60.00 and couldn't eat this stuff for it was not very good @ all. I'm sure it was just a bad night but I'll never visit again or recommend...

Do not go here for food unless you like sub par service. Waited an hour for a pizza which still never came. Finally decided it was time to leave.

It doesn't take an hour to cook a pizza in a half empty bar.

Should of known when I sat down at the bar to order and the staff was clearly arguing amongst each other it was not going to be good.

Got one beer and thirty minutes later the bartender finally came back around for a refill.

Who ever owns this place is leaving A Lot of money on the table. I would be shocked to see this place still here in three years if something doesn't change.

Just because you own a business doesn't mean you know how run a bussiness.

As I was leaving the bartender said "did you check on your pizza" Really?? Now I am supposed to check on my own food?

Get a grip owners and find someone who knows how to run the place in a professional manner.
