Lemon Tree PGH — Restaurant in Millvale

Really cool and sustainable repurposing of an old Moose Lodge. Caught a meeting where the mission was being explained to another group, and it was awesome to hear about the concept. Egg sandwich is incredible, reminded me of the quality of food I experienced living abroad and brought back many happy memories, but at an affordable price- $12 for a large decaf, build your own egg sandwich with double the eggs and a bit of fresh fruit on the side. Was awesome to sit and feel like a person on the two days I visited and the staff was incredibly talented in addition to wonderful energy. Everyone who worked here loved their job and it showed! I found out about Lemon Tree through the coffee passport and it is such a little gem. The coffee was fresh, super tasty, and the service was friendly and efficient. Since my first time I pop in any time I am in the area, especially if there’s traffic on 28 and I want to wait it out or I need a place to work remotely for a bit.

It’s in a bar (the bar isn’t open while the coffee shop is open) which is a fun and quirky thing. I have also chilled there. They have wifi and it’s just a pleasant place to hang out.

Parking is street parking but it’s Millvale so not bad at all! I usually park right in front. Really beats sitting in...

Lemon Tree has been a fixture in Millvale for a while; not only do they spend a good amount of time personally delivering their delicious cold brew to customers, but they also go above and beyond to give back to the local community.
