Review for PAVILION RENTAL. This is a great location for an outdoor event, as it pretty much works rain or shine. While the non-resident rate for a full day may feel expensive, it's very competitive and the location has a lot to offer.
City and river views, hiking and biking trails, river access, a playground, and plenty of free parking. The pavilion has a great wood-arched roof and decent lighting.
There are two restrooms that are technically non-public as they are locked when there's not an event in the pavilion. But understand they are effectively open to all on the day of your event.
There's a full kitchen with a pass through window and necessary appliances (a commercial fridge, but no freezer, and an electric stove), a three hole sink, and a decent amount of work space (extra tables are useful if you plan to do much food prep). You'll need to bring everything else (including soap and sponges).
There are also two cast iron charcoal grills on the river side.
There are a bunch of picnic tables of various sizes. Most were in pretty good shape.
Overall, this was a great place for a casual celebration with family, friends, food and live music. I'm sure a Master party planner could transform the space into something even more special, as the space has...
Read morePark isn't really anything to out of the ordinary...not really a park with playgrounds etc but has a large covered picnic grove, a gazebo, and an open view of the river. It is one if the entrance points to a nice paved/crushed gravel biking/walking trail etc (dogs are welcome). If you start here you can ride into the north shore area and past the stadiums, casino, submarine at the science center, the water steps (which are great for kids or dogs that want a little cool off in the summer), and you get a nice view of the river for much of the way. If you go from here toward the north shore and until the end it's about 6 miles and so if you do that and come back it will be a total ride of about 12 miles. It's mostly flat so great for starter...
Read moreI came to the Millvale Riverfront Park for the taco take over event. The event was really nice and well put together. There were lots of food trucks at the park and also throughout the town. There was also live music. My only complaint was the lack of parking I end up parking very far away. I will give the organizers of the event credit since they did state that there would probably not be enough parking. I would say the actual park needs some signage or something saying that there was a dead end. I end up having to back by ¾ ton truck all the way back out...
