If you’re looking for authentic South Indian flavors, Masala Dosa Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly made dosas and spices fills the air, setting the stage for an incredible dining experience.
The Masala Dosa was crispy, golden-brown, and perfectly filled with a flavorful potato masala—every bite was a delight. The Vada was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with just the right amount of spice. The Idli was light, fluffy, and melted in the mouth, pairing beautifully with the chutneys and sambar.
Speaking of chutneys, each one—coconut, tomato, and mint—was bursting with freshness and authentic flavors. The sambar was rich, aromatic, and had the perfect balance of tanginess and spice, complementing every dish wonderfully.
To top it all off, the filter coffee was simply outstanding—strong, smooth, and served with just the right froth, making it the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
Overall, Masala Dosa Restaurant offers an authentic South Indian culinary experience that is hard to beat. The food is fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for dosa lovers and anyone craving a true taste of...
Read moreWe recently visited this restaurant Masala dosa and tried the Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Buttermilk, and Nalla Karam Idly. Unfortunately, our experience was not as great as we had hoped.
Food: The dosas were not very impressive in terms of taste, and everything had an overwhelming amount of ghee. The sambar was Karnataka-style, which is more watery than what we expected. The chutneys were also not very flavorful, making the overall meal feel incomplete. While the pricing is reasonable, flavors did not feel satisfying.
Service: The service left much to be desired. There was no water on the tables, and even after requesting it, the staff seemed too occupied with fulfilling other orders. A little more attentiveness would have made the dining experience much better.
Ambience & Value: While the restaurant offers food at a nominal price, the lack of good service and the underwhelming taste of the dishes made it less enjoyable.
Overall, we would rate this 2 stars—mainly for the affordability. However, improving the service and balancing flavors better would make a significant difference for customers looking for a...
Read moreI was excited to try Masala Dosa Vegetarian Restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience fell short.
The idli was disappointing dry and lacked the soft, fluffy texture it should have. The accompanying chutneys and sambar were mediocre at best, with the peanut chutney being overly tangy and sambar not tasting like sambar, lol. The benne dosa was far from the authentic Karnataka style, merely served with a blob of butter on top. The bun parotta also didn’t meet expectations; it wasn’t flaky as it should be and felt subpar. The salna was decent, but nothing to rave about.
The service was the most frustrating part. It took over 30 minutes for the bun parotta to arrive, and the staff seemed indifferent to the delay.
The seating was average, but the bathroom setup was inconvenient. There’s only one bathroom, and the sink is inside. It would be more practical to have the sink outside, so patrons don’t have to wait just to wash their hands.
Overall, the food and service need significant improvement to justify a...
