So after dining at LaHa since they were just a little restaurant over by Rollos I had my first disappointing meal there and it was VERY disappointing!!! I decided I was going to have a "Mexican" ribeye, how could it go wrong, EVERYTHING I I've ever had there was great so I expected the steak to be really great so I ordered the 12 ounce Ribeye I think that's what it was and I asked for it to be medium not medium well not well done medium medium means a soft pink Center or warm pink Center first date came it look like they had cooked the life out of it for a I think it's 12 oz ribeye it had to wait 6 oz because it was paper almost paper thin and chard there's no way I knew there was no way this day could be medium because it just was too thin to be medium with that much char so I tried to cut it with the butter knife because they didn't bring me a steak knife it was almost impossible when I got the steak Knife it was still almost impossible and he came to ask me if how was my meal and I said well this is supposed to be medium and its various past well done he said he was sorry he would take it back the steak and steak he brought bad was the same size as the last one but the top of it was medium and I didn't realize that it was one flat flat steak that had been cooked and then folded over on itself because it wasn't and my plate that came with the steak I just packed it up and was ready to go home then when I get the bill a $2 extra charge is on there for a open plate so I went up and I asked the cashier what did that mean and he said it was because I got two kids meals and Joey not a kid and I told him I've been coming here since I've been coming to La Hacienda since it was at the old location and he's always eating hot dogs and french fries because that's the only thing on their menu he will eat because he has autism and they've known this all along time and they've never charge me extra he gets two of them it comes out to 9:50 is the price of a a combo plate and so he said well I'll take the $2 off I didn't even bring up the steak because because I was taken aback that they were going to start charging Joey extra for hotdogs and french fries they didn't give him any extra french fries and it's the first time I ever sent anything back and now all of a sudden they make this change so I just want to say in conclusion if you go to La Hacienda they still have the great Mexican food that were all used to but don't order...
Read moreI really don't see how so many people enjoy this place. I've gone twice and both times regretted going. The tortilla chips weren't fresh, the guacamole dip was runny and green like it came out of a can and the dish I ordered was mediocre, to say the least. I ordered the shrimp soup which was good, but then I followed with the burritos that came covered in a red sauce. The sauce made the soft tacos mushy and a soggy mess was my dinner. Their idea of tomatoes in a taco is one slice quarter, versus a nice amount of cubed tomatoes- which is what I'm used to. The service was excellent though. If you want a great experience of authentic Mexican cuisine...a trip across the bridge to Pensacola's Catina Mexican restaurant across from the airport is to die for. Try the guacamole dip- huge chunks of fresh cut avocado- amazing, unlike the runny dip we were served. The waterfall is also nice, but the servers kept their eyes on my kids being sure they didn't touch it too much or throw anything in...that wasn't fun- they actually enjoyed the place for that reason- with less policing if I could've helped it. Why build something so nice in the center of your restaurant at floor level if you don't expect little kids to explore closer. I won't be going back- you shouldn't waste your...
Read moreOrdered 2 kids meals with burgers. Halfway through our meal realize Sons burger bun was as hard as a rock. Waiting server come back so we could get replaced. Didn’t do a good job checking on us came after all other food eaten. Asked if we could swap it for a desert the burger bun is a hockey puck. He said no. Asked if I could get a refund kids meal he said no. Asked for manager he said there wasn’t a manager. All he can do is replace the burger. Got up mad and steaming showed him both burgers one soft and done right other hard and stale as a rock. Is there any way I can get kids meal removed. Repeatedly said no. Brought both burgers to front asked for manager guy said manager is gone. He finally agreed refund my kids meal. I was very mad because I’ve been a loyal hacienda customer for 20 years. I will not go to any other Mexican restaurant have not ate new one across street in pace. Called Milton location spoke manager they called pace location and took their side. Who is going to take the side of cash customer? I need a manager to reach out. I should not have to ask 10 times to have a kids meal removed when burger bun is literally hard as a rock you can’t even bend it. Other one is soft and normal. No one will reach out to help or...
