I'm so glad they have finally come south. I've loved Culver's long since I lived back in my home state of Nebraska in the early 2000s. I got spoiled up there. I moved down here and longed for some Culver's. And this year, finally, I get a taste of the upper Midwest again. And it did not disappoint.
I'm not surprised that this has become a popular spot here in Milton. You'd think that a place so warm most of the year would have choices when it comes to cold dairy. While you can get a chocolate ice cream cone at Saucy's, the wait is ridiculous. But here, you can get frozen custard in chocolate or vanilla and add like a DQ Blizzard. However, you can't get any chocolate soft serve at Dairy Queen unless you head north.... to about Illinois. (Yes, we drove the route, and the first chocolate cone was in south Illinois. So, if you have a chocolate ice cream need, Culver's frozen custard hits the spot perfectly. My favorite is a vanilla base concrete with strawberry and cheesecake mix-ins. And unlike most drive-thru ice creams, you can out this back in the freezer, and the flavor and consistency stay exactly the same. Hence, why you can buy a pint!
The burgers are so fresh tasting that all other places can't complete. A Butterburger or my favorite Swiss mushroom, and you will love the flavor every time. The shrimp. Fresh, crispy, juicy, and a decent size portion out competes every fast food here in Milton and probably a lot in Pensacola. And make sure you get some fried cheese curds. After all, Culver's is from the state of Wisconsin! Cheese curd capitol of the world. They also know how to do onion rings right. I'd give reviews of other sides, but I have a hard time not ordering the cheese curds!
When you walk into our Culver's, you'll be greeted by a wall of AC. (It is August right now!) Does that not make you instantly feel better!? But then the ordering experience is amazing. Very friendly staff, including some very awesome teens, working their butt off doing their jobs with a smile. The atmosphere from the staff brings up the positivity level at the restaurant. And the restaurant looks amazing. Clean service areas, seating is comfortable, and you have access to a decent TV, which, for many of us, brings the comfort of home.
The drive thru experience is also a pleasant one. It's a little different than usual. You get a number, then move into your lane, similar to how you get a number inside and will have your food delivered to you. (Minus the lane)
So if you haven't stopped into a Culver's before, make sure you stop in here....

We watched 10 vehicles leave that had ordered after us. I went inside and asked for a manager and this child with pink hair sticking out from under her hat like dog ears, approach me. I explained the situation and requested a refund, her reply was, "you dont want your food" not I am sorry let me get you your refund and if you can wait just a couple minutes I will get you your order right away. How unprofessional and rude. I took my refund in cash even though I paid with a card, and I walked out.
I gave this location 3 stars because if you go inside to eat the food is cold always.
Every weekend my husband and I go thru the drive thru and go to a parking lot next door and eat. The food is always hot and juicy. The last time we went it was raining and I did not want our food bag to get wet so we decided to eat in. Big mistake.
My husband ordered a Cod sandwich and the fish was not hot and the bun was cold, and the fired we cold.
I had the deluxe burger and it was cold as well as my fries and cheese curds.
Why is it the deluxe burger picture shows Bread, cheese, meat, cheese, meat, tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle, and Mayo. But when you get it it is bread, meat, cheese, meat, cheese then veggies. The second piece of cheese is never melted.
I guess the lesson here is go thru the...
Read moreThe reason for my rating, is i have been to this culvers since it opened, at least a dozen times and it seems to be going downhill fast. When it first opened, I was excited and really impressed with all the options, but what stood out the most, was they have a harvest veggie burger! Wow, I was so shocked and happy. The desserts are really good, I can say that, but everything is super salty, and my veggie burger is always messed up. I usually would get it to go and when I'd come home and find my veggie burger patty is a complete moosh, I'd cookit on stove to eat it, complained a few times, then finally quit going. After a few months, my family wanted to try again and see if improved quality, unfortunately it's worse now. There's like 15 employees chit chatting and worried about social life, than to truly care for the customer. I explained to cashier once my veggie burger came out crisp on outside and moosh all the way through, that to please double well done cook it. Appears it's rushed through and doesn't cook evenly? Well, the remake was even worse, it was definitely not cooked well done. I'm just frustrated because I thought this would be a good restraunt with a veggie option for once, but they can't cook it right, don't try to learn how to cook it right, so I give up. The place was decently cleaned with plenty of staff. If I ate a regular burger I'm sure I'd have no problems, but then why have it on your menu when...
