I don’t make it to Bay View all that often, however I wanted to check the new Axolotl Cafe that my friend told me about. Today was a soft opening for them and their food and service did not disappoint. This cafe is located in the old Pastiche space. It’s warm and cozy and fits the vibe of this new cafe. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying one of the best authentic Mexican meals I've ever tasted! The chilaquiles were absolutely incredible, bursting with vibrant flavors and topped with just the right amount of fresh ingredients. We were feeling adventurous and wanted to try something new - we were not disappointed. Service and atmosphere were great and the food was DELISH!!! Hubby had the chilaquiles verde and I tried the chicken poblano omelet. His portion was a little small for his appetite but the taste made up for it. Mine was too much to finish! And the pancakes.
