Plume is the brainchild of vintage sellers that put Milwaukee on the map! I remember shopping with Brown cow and HM chic at events back when I first moved to Milwaukee and now it’s so beautiful to see the evolution of Plume as a location which nurtures and cultivates a vintage community, a safe and inspiring space for anyone looking to shine as a unique individual. Sizes for everyone, styling for everyone—and just genuine passion and love from the owners. A Passion for vintage and a love of styling a diverse clientele. The kind of place that makes you proud to live in Milwaukee. Also killer that they keep consistent hours and are extremely communicative online. (I impulse bought a dress online after seeing it in a shoot and they no joke held onto it for an entire year woops)…..their social media is super fun too—cool to see their buying process at estate sales and travel, their styling of shoots, inspiration elsewhere and...

Truly one of my favorite shops ever. As much as I love thrifting at bigger thrift stores (bigger in both name/chain and actual size), there’s something so special about a smaller, meticulously curated shop like Plume. I’ve visited vintage shops in nearly every place I’ve travelled to, but I can’t say any of them have the attention to detail, unique pieces, and wonderful staff and ownership that Plume has. My favorite jacket of all time is from here and every time I wear it I’m met with compliments, which ALWAYS prompts me to get into rave mode about this store. Bonus points for their efforts to find plus size vintage items; I’m not personally a shopper in that section but it’s awesome to see them actively work on expanding that section (if that sounded backhanded, I so did not mean it to… genuine compliment that I didn’t know how to integrate otherwise lol). Truly a gem, I’d give it 10...

I absolutely love shopping at Plume! I have brought so many friends into the shop - some who are skeptical about shopping vintage - and everyone leaves having had a great experience.. and probably with some treasures. Some of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe are from Plume. The selection is so well curated and the pieces are so well prepared to hit the shop floor - clean, pressed, and in beautiful shape. The prices are so reasonable. On top of that, the service is fantastic. Maggie always remembers me when I come in, and often remembers my previous purchases from the shop. She helps me style things and makes great recommendations. She will also pull from her back stock if I am looking for something in particular. I always feel special when I’m there.
