First time here. Stopped in for a beverage and pastry. The place has an inviting exterior, leaving you no doubt that they are open for business and want you to step inside. Inside is equally welcoming. The entrance is cheefully decorated, and the inside has nice visuals to make you feel appreciated and relaxed. There were several other people there, and it was quiet. I typically get a London Fog, but they don't have black tea. They suggested a Banana Chai Latte (chai, with white chocolate and banana syrup. They offered a selection of mexican pastries (conchas, churros, and empanadas), and I decided on an Apple Empanada. I asked for it warmed up, but they explained that the warming oven hasn't been installed yet :( The barista did a nice job with the chai. It came out in a colorful, mug, had nice foam, and excellent flavor. The empanada was a good size, and extremely good (even if it was cold). Really good first experience. Super nice staff, well designed space, and excellent food/drink. Definitely would come back and order the exact same thing!

We went to this coffee shop today 1/25/25 after seeing an instagram post a few days ago. We went to go try the cold brew flight that was shown in the post and it did not disappoint. [I hope my picture posts properly. If not, please take me at my word] Our flight in particular was made with oatmilk at my girlfriend's request and all the drinks were rich and smooth. Our personal favorite was the coco loco, or something along those lines. It tasted exactly like a mounds or almond joy, second favorite was the chocolate hazelnut one, unfortunately i forget what it's called. I also ordered a blackberry matcha latte and it was one of the better matcha drinks I've had, it wasn't over poweringly sweet and you could taste both of the flavors without them competing with eachother. Suffice to say, being from chicago, I'm willing to make the drive again. 10/10

In our fast-paced, digitally-driven society, moments of genuine connection and joy often elude us. However, there are experiences that stand out, transforming ordinary days into extraordinary memories. For me, one such experience was an afternoon today I spent in a quaint coffee shop that not only served the best coffee I have ever tasted but also provided an environment conducive to deep conversation and personal reflection. This essay explores the significance of that experience, intertwining the sensory pleasures of coffee with the profound connections that can arise in such settings. Thank you for a great experience Brew-Jas Coffeehouse!
