Golden Chicken — Restaurant in Milwaukee

BOO. After my faithful patronage, clear instructions on how the door is on the side street not the address street and a 2 hr 30 min wait, the best I get is 'he knocked'. I have a brand new white doorbell on a dark brown building and a cell phone that I used to place the order.... but he 'knocked'. You've delivered here a thousand times. I ordered at 6:45. Was told it would be a little over an hr. Called back at 8:40. Was told my order just left. Called a third time at 9:15, understandably UPSET considering I live 4 blocks away from you and you've lied to me twice at this point. I get screamed at and told to get some food somewhere else, you don't need my business, by the OWNER? 6 hungry people waiting for food for two and a half hrs sitting in the room right by the door.... nobody 'knocked'. He went to the wrong door/house. Why couldn't he see the doorbell directly in front of his face? Why wouldn't he press the bright white doorbell right in front of his face? Why couldn't he call my cell phone, which he ALWAYS CALLS when you deliver to my house? After being hung up on at 9:15, I would have let it go but I check my bank account and of course I paid for this great New Years Eve experience. I call back and ask about my refund.. BOSS MAN says I wasn't charged, it's news to him if I was. Okay.... I tell him that I WAS charged and I obviously need my money back since his 'delivery' person made no logical attempt to get me the food I had already called looking for. And his stellar management let another 30 min go by without making any attempt to contact me about the food I was charged for. He SCREAMS "I'll get to it at my earliest convience" and hangs up on me again. Before I can even tell my hungry family what this piece of shi* just said, HE CALLS ME and just says 'what'. I say, 'you called me, what's up with my refund?' He repeats the earliest convenience line and rudely says something about how it'll take till Tuesday or Wednesday, as if I can't wait till then. And he angrily hangs up again. Really? SHAME ON YOU. Not only does it literally take 3 seconds to issue a refund to a same day customer but after your complete ineptitude in judging cooking and delivery times, you couldn't even muster up an apology? Ever heard of owning up to your actions? Or more accurately, admitting defeat? Never once did any one of you utter an apology. Not even when I politely called the second time at 8:40 to ask what the holdup was. You should have been honest and told me it was a 2 hr wait from jump street. You should learn how to properly track orders so someone's food isn't just forgotten about, till they have to call you a THIRD time. I will gladly take my business back to GC in Oak Creek, did you actually think I would call you again? Their delivery people have basic brain power, their chicken is never overcooked and they were never once rude to me while taking my money. Shame on me for trying to support...

$42 worth of garbage. Thats where the food ened up. Not so friendly on the phone. Delivery driver was very pleasent. He was the best part of the experience. All of the food was in a warmish state. The fries were very close to room temp. The chicken: grease fryer needs an oil change. Some pieces were overcooked and dry others light and crispy. Shrimp: edible, but I was very hungry. Breaded Mushrooms: close to warm and tasted a bit of freezer. Now for the Mac & cheese. I am not certain how you can sell this stuff other than the USDA still allows companies to sell cheese product labeled as cheese. The cheese product that is used to make this side is foul tasting. My daughter loves mac and cheese. She was super excited to have a new kind. She put it in her smiling mouth, took one chew, frowned and spit it out. I didn't believe her at first but it IS that bad. I tried to make it better with salt, condiments and even real cheese. Its just gross. For those reviewers that have said that you have been eating at this place for years, you must have no taste buds, are unable to smell smells and have been brain washed into thinking that place is a 5 star restaurant. P.S. Is mac and cheese of this caliber supposed to have the strange coloration of orange...

We have been eating here for over 30 years. In the last year or so it has fell off. Missing items ,over cooked and burnt food. Never was a problem about a issue til lately. Don’t bother to call and get a credit cause they will tell you they have no record of it. Have them make your order correct. We were not customers that ordered 3 times a year. Minimum 3 times a month for years. 4 months ago is when I had enough of wasting my money. Chicken wasn’t the same ,sandwich’s weren’t the same and over cooked food. Nor were the good rolls they had. So after 4 months I gave it a try. OMG was that a mistake. $40 out the window!!! Chicken was over cooked ,cheese balls were burnt ,fries were old and cold ,rolls were dry and not good at all. Gravy was all water. And they changed their bbq sauce on top of all that they tossed my chicken in the bbq sauce and didn’t bake it on. Trust me we can tell. This place has fell off the charts.
