Garfields 502/Jewels 502 — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Me and my friend went on 5/9 2025 at the time (7:30 p.m.) we normally would go on prior days. We happen to be customers that come every once in a while versus every week. When we walked in we seated ourselves at the bar. Mind you the bar wasn't crowded at all. My friend and I waited for 20 to 30 minutes before we were served. The two bar tenders* (One older with a brown sweater wearing jeans and the younger with curly hair wearing a black fitted dress) were intentionally ignoring us. When the younger bartender finally said something, her exact words were "Are you guys waiting to be served". I politely said to her "Yes"! The older bartender came off very derogatory and belligerent when I asked the younger bartender if they had Riesling wine. Fast forward, the younger bar tenders demeanor remain excessively ruled. When it came time for my tab I was charged 46 dollars. I had never been charged 15 dollars for a double shot of Tito's before. She also charged me 11 dollars for 1 shot of Remy (Which was a little bit more understandable). My friend went to pay for her 6 piece chicken with cash and the older bartender loudly said in a derogatory way "We don't accept cash". Mind you...she had just charged a customer that paid with cash, in which my friend and I both witnessed. On my receipt they had the nerves to suggest I leave a $5.60 tip but I did not considering the service was terrible. The two bar tenders working today I have never seen before as many times as I have been to 502. I still left a 3 dollar tip. $49.33 was my overall...

Crazy awesome establishment was there for a private party but the bar itself was cracking plenty of beautiful women and the men are well-behaved. I didn't see not one outburst the doormen were very gentleman like didn't treat me as an outsider even though it was my first time there I felt very comfortable the bartenders were very nice even bought me a drink or two, of course you got to know how to tip too! you can't go into an establishment thinking you're going to get free rounds from your bartender and you only gave them $1.50 in 4 out of 5 hours you've been there. But from the looks of the place and the people that were there it didn't seem like there were too many people like that anyway! The prices were considerable and the drinks were not watered down by any means. I don't smoke but I believe they had a nice smoking deck outside. And the sound system was bumping. I believe it's black owned and operated, and is more of a mature crowd, a gentleman's bar if you will, I would definitely go back....

This place is very much a favorite. Great vibe, wonderful crowd, solid menu, and there's always good music playing.

Love the summer's outdoor shows and the indoor shows are beyond incredible. Best sound and stage i've seen in years.

2022/11/11(ish) - Days later, still thinking and wondering about how this place delivers the best in house experience. Can't explain it, not sure i want to, but damn skippy i had to say it.

2023/03/03~ Maybe this day i might've has the greatest nights ever because i visited Garfield's. Cousins, sweetiee, something, somethings, but sure but damn, people here never fail!
