Been meaning to try this place out for awhile and finally got the chance. Now i am kicking myself for not going in sooner.
OMG!
Walk in and the place is off-the-hook/drop-the-mic beautiful. Family/Make-some-new-family seating in the center and several two-tops a four-top, and a few single-seat spots. Posh, cozy, and warm. Am in heaven so i order three entree's for me figuring i'll have some leftovers. Get a BBQ Hoagie, A shrimp rice bowl thingy, and an Avocado Sandwich named the Awesome Avocado Sandwich.
Starting with the last one first, it earns it's name. You think Avacodo can't be hot, grilled, and then later reheated and still be good all the way through? Not the Awesome Avacodo Sandwich. Yeah, it earns its name. It is cut into tweo triangles but i cut those two into two more and still had a handful with each one.
Since i spent 3 months or so every year in Texas i've been made to eat a fair amount of BBQ and lets just say i am not a huge fan but do appreciate it when it is to my liking. Like my family takes it as a challenge to find BBQ that been likes. As in they want me to be more TX and won't let up but for whatever reason can't remember which place it was where i was like this is good. Mi Casa Su Cafe, has got that. Hands down, eat the filling out this huge sandwich with your fingers if you want to feel like yer down south.
And finally, the Shrimp Bowl. This one's a monster. Two hands to pick it up, a bend with your knees kinda dish. And, OMG, Fresh. Rice cooked and seasoned like they just made it a second after i said i wanted some. And the flavor just perfectly light. Vegetables crisp wok style cooked just right.
Been eating it all day and barely put a dent in it. Unreal. Seriously not joking around here, this place is unreal. They gave me everything but the kitchen sink when i left. Like i had to go get a U-Haul truck to bring it home. Not even lying a bit. Well i am lying around but that is because i am so stuffed with good food.
Try it, you...
Read moreHorrible dine-in experience! This was the worst experience I've ever had in any restaurant in my life and im not exaggerating. Very long story but, to make a long story short, party of six, we dined in and had to grab our own napkins, silverware (which was plastic) and Condiments. I had to take everyone's order, then get up from my table and take it to the front to order, we had to pay before we got the food. Waited over an hour and we were literally the only people dining in. Once the food came, it was brought out piece by piece so, we are all not eating at the same time. Several main dishes was missing and the host said he didnt hear me when ordering so they were not rang up on the bill so we had to place that order again and wait. Not all of our drinks came to the table either. The host was the waiter, cashier, DJ, drink maker and table cleaner. After waiting about 20min for our missing meals, we just decided to leave. Upon leaving we asked for a refund on the 15% dine-in tax. There was a black lady that seemed to be the manager/owner standing there and instead of apologizing for our horrible experience, she was more concerned about the host refunding our 15% dine-in tax money. Should have refunded everything or at least partial refund on the food since we didn't get to enjoy it. They prioritize TAKE OUT orders over DINE-IN. I will never come back here. Cant...
Read more1st impression is everything to me. Let’s just say they failed us very badly. I have been wanting to try them for a while now and today I finally had a moment to try them out. I ordered chicken and waffles with a side of loaded breakfast potatoes and my fiancé ordered salmon croquettes meal. They didn’t put my potatoes in the bag and by the time I got home and realized it I called them. The lady answered and said “they were just looking for my number they have the potatoes there ready”. Unfortunately I was at work so I couldn’t go back and get them so that was a waste of $5. The chicken was good, my waffles wasn’t the best and didn’t have fruit on top despite me asking for it when I placed the order. My fiancé had a plastic (tag from the clothing like) object in his food so he couldn’t even continue eating it although he wasn’t complaining to badly because he said “it was horrible and he did not like it anyways”. He asked for white rice after she gave him an option, but he still got yellow rice which was hard and not very tasty at all. I regret to have to leave this review, however it’s not fair to us to spend $40 on something that was way less than satisfying. Hopefully this will help them to better serve others as we will not be returning. The frozen lemonades were good after we had to shake and stir them up ourselves so the syrup wouldn’t just be sitting...
