Jackson's Soul Food Redefined Express — Restaurant in Milwaukee

The best thing they have going here is the curb appeal. Service was terrible. When I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker to order there was no greeting. I said hello to them first. Then they ask what do you want. Rude and lacking effort. The food was equally as unappealing. Chicken had no seasoning other than salt. Also, looks just like JJs low quality chicken without the powered salt seasoning, which may have helped. Please step up the ingredients. The Mac and cheese was over seasoned with seasoning salt, which is not good. My 10 yr old daughter could not tolerate it either. Also, Mac and cheese was not baked and looked like stove top instant. The yams were ok and the best thing on the plate. I would give the food a 1-2. Definitely not worth the price of $20 for 5 chicken wings and 2 sides. Try again....

I had high hopes for this place because it looks so nice. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that. I had the jerk eggrolls and a plate with fried chicken and two sides. The bag was sopping wet with grease, it seemed as if they just pulled it out of the grease and dropped it in the bag. Same with the chicken- extremely greasy. The sides were mediocre. Not only was the food disappointing, but the service was horrible. As soon as I pulled up to the drive through the music was blasting loud. The lady at the window was rude, and un-informed. I asked her multiple times what kind of meat what in the Philly eggroll, to which she responded to me “it’s Philly meat” repeatedly , even when I tried to clarify 3 times is it chicken or steak, being that a Philly is just a style...

I saw the photos from their first restaurant and never wanted to try it IM A SOUL FOOD JUNKIE & yuck ... They must have put a fake picture up for this new restaurant because our wing dinner looked nothing like it the online photo Milwaukee keeps lying about these canned greens & yams: they post cut up greens & fresh yams as if that is what you're going to get 😭 false advertisement Sadly we really really want black businesses to thrive unfortunately you guys should have done a taste test Shut down the whole menu provide 10 options and allow your customers to pick the menu and how possibly even a better way to cook it.
