Jo's Cafe — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Great food, friendly staff, and friendly patrons as well! The staff consistently remember customers by name and greet us all with a warm smile as we come in the door. Each visit to Jo’s feels like I’m catching up with family and friends every time I pull up a stool at the breakfast bar with a hot cuppa’ and I’d be willing to bet I’m not the only one!

The specials are always tasty but the real knock out secret is the baked goods! The cinnamon rolls, the biscuits, or the rum cake at Christmas? Hubba hubba!

Stumbled upon this magnificent diner when visiting for a weekend. Got there twice. We only had breakfasts. Biscuits and gravy. Gravy wonderful. Biscuits a bit stodgy. Fried eggs- wicked perfect. Hash browns and American Fries were stupidly flavorful. Pancake as big as your head. Light, fluffy, soaked up syrup. 😁 French toast lovely. It's busy with a small seating area and a HUGE takeout business. Stuff takes time and may not all come out at once but that's how a tiny, busy, busy, busy diner is. The food was SO worth it. I have no idea what magic spell they have cast on the flat top but man, oh, man. I will have first meal here every time I'm in MKE. I just hope they don't get too busy! It's like being in someone's kitchen....

So today was pretty awesome. I went to my favorite cafe in Milwaukee, Jo’s on W Silver Springs. It’s an amazing little place where that you won’t find on the best of Milwaukee’s best because I’m pretty sure no one travels to that area of town. It’s been the same crew cooking on the same flat top since I’ve been going there. The cook is always singing Al Green or Stevie Wonder and the waitresses are always smiling and refilling my coffee.
