Johanna's Cafe — Restaurant in Milwaukee

First of all I must disclose that I don't know these people from Adam. With that being said, I am really impressed. This is not your typical Milwaukee Mom and Pa corner business. The owners have to have spent a lot of money revamping this place. Every detail is new. Every item my wife and I ate was surprisingly good. We are "quesito" aficionados and I must say these are in fact the best "quesitos" we have ever had anywhere, including Puerto Rico. We had the chicken and carne frita plates with rice and beans. We tried the sorullitos and the tostones as well. We were impressed with the quality and taste. The prices are very reasonable. The people at the counter were very nice and pleasant. There is nothing like being away from home and getting a "mi amor" when you order. I am just glad I live half hour away because I would be here every day. Congratulations...

My first time coming here to the place to eat something small for lunch with my mom. Everything tasted delicious, and they had a good customer service. Our server, she was very nice and very respectful. They greet you really fast and you can seat down anywhere you like, or stand up if you're taking it to go.

We took our apps to go, from the Alcapurias, some quesitos, coconut macaroons, one relleno de papa and some drinks to go, The Malta India and Cola Champagne. We also bought some pan Sobao, and a pastelillo de guayaba for my mom. After I got home I tasted and ate my Cubano Sandwich, it was the best with a Uva Colony grape soda. So delicious,yum.

When I come again, I'll see if try some dinner and try other appetizers. Also try the piña coladas and passion fruit juice. Bring my other half of my family so they can try it too!!! Thank...

The People were Nice...They Got Busy...I dont Know Why the People Eat here though...The Purpose for Review's is For The Public to Know What They are Purchasing Prior to Going to The Establishment in Addition for the Business To Learn The Honest Truth of there Product and Services...To Learn from it and To Improve on it..So Moving Forward I will Break Down everything I Bought for the first time and Sampled.. The Macaroons were Pretty good. .The White Rice was Very Dry and a Rashion of Salt with No other Seasoning or Moisture. The P.R Rice Very Dry with a Hint of Old Fish oil for some Wierd reason The Mofongo Extremely Dry and Tasteless unfortunately ..Like There was No Passion or Love put in their Food...I probably...
