Ordered via Uber Eats this evening. First time ordering from this spot.
Was looking for a taco shop with authentic offerings; tripe, lengua, beef head, goat, etc.
Mi Tierra did not disappoint.
Ordered a couple of tacos, chicken enchiladas. Freaking amazing. They were really tasty. Sometimes, I feel like tacos can be a little bland, but not these. Full on flavor, and each protein had its own nuances.
Anyway, the reason for my 5 stars review was triggered strictly because of their Esquite Elote.
Now, I've never had this dish in Mexico. I've enjoyed it in maybe 20 or so establishments across the US.
BUT HANDS DOWN, Mi Tierra's was the absolute best I've ever had. I don't know what they use to spice it up, but whatever it is, it's absolutely perfect.
Spicy, yes. But not in the normal hand fanning the mouth way. The heat was delightful, refreshing, and cool at the same time.
All I'm saying is, I consumed an entire side order myself. And theirs a good chance I'm gonna do it...

What hooked me into ordering here was a picture of my absolute favorite creamy jalapeño salsa (no actual cream in it, it’s just blended and it turns this color) that I haven’t been able to find anywhere outside of Texas. I read their website and saw that there are Texas roots in the owners or cooks, and I could totally tell. I got some of the best ham and egg breakfast tacos (3 for $11! And they were HUGE) and a breakfast burrito for later. Everything was EXCELLENT with generous protein servings and the star of the show was that salsa. My 3+ year search for proper breakfast tacos in MKE is...
Read moreHad one of the best burritos I’ve had in the city in a while. Perfect portion ratio and fresh. My wife had tacos and thought the meat could’ve used a bit more seasoning for her taste, but they sure did look good! The chips were crisp, and the salsa had a real kick.
The menu is huge, with plenty of options, including kids’ meals—a big plus since many Mexican spots don’t usually offer things like nuggets and burgers. And let’s be honest, sometimes those burgers end up being great. I was tempted to try one but stuck to the burrito for the review.
Oh, and the horchata? Top-notch!!!
Overall, I’d give it a 7/10 A solid addition to the neighborhood. Definitely planning to...
