My buddy and I stopped at Kelly’s Bleachers on Bluemound before a Brewers game to catch their shuttle. We arrived early enough to park in their lot, where you pay $20 but receive a $20 voucher to use inside—seemed like a great deal!
Once inside, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered a couple of tap beers. When the bartender asked for a credit card to start a tab, I had my card in one hand and the parking voucher in the other. Since I had never used the voucher before, I held it up and said, "I also have this, but I'm not sure how it works." Instead of explaining, the bartender took it from me and walked away to the register, leaving my credit card in hand.
After a while, I had to wave him down to ask if he still needed my card. He said no—the voucher covered our first round—but for any further drinks, he’d need a card. At this point, I also asked if the remaining balance from the voucher could go toward the rest of our tab. He said no—once it's entered, you don’t get any unused money back. That was frustrating because if I had known that, I wouldn’t have handed it over so soon, considering we planned to eat and drink more. Instead of acknowledging that, he laughed, said nothing, and walked away.
I later asked another bartender if there was any way to use the remaining balance, and she also said no—once it's in the system, that’s it. I mentioned that had we known, we wouldn’t have used it right away. Her response? "Well, lesson learned for next time, at least." That summed up the whole interaction—rather than a simple explanation upfront, I was left with unused credit and a dismissive attitude.
That said, the food was fantastic! We ordered mini corn dogs and a western burger, and both were amazing. The bacon on the burger was perfectly crispy, the chipotle mayo added a great kick, and everything came out hot and fresh in no time.
I’ll definitely be back, now armed with my "lesson learned," but I really think they dropped the ball on customer service this time. A little communication could have...
Read moreI would NEVER EVER set foot into this racist ass establishment AGAIN in life, even if I was paid to go inside. Knobby knees Pat, wanna be somebody, who's one of the owners... harassed me so much a few years back on opening day of the Milwaukee Brewers, until I ended up leaving. There was a DJ playing in the dance tent, so I was dancing alone. Knobby knees approached me and asked me to not dance alone, I asked him why and he said just don't I asked you once already and told me to grab a guy to dance with. I'm black and all the people there were white. I am also a lesbian. He made a big ass deal and followed me from outside to inside like a predator. I was trying to understand what he was trying to do, since I'd known him for almost 30 years. He kept saying this is your final warning. I ended up leaving on my own. He's a loser wanting young girls to flock to him and I've witnessed him flirting with his staff who are mostly young impressionable women. He's divorced and is middle aged, not sure what his problem is besides me being an attractive black woman, who gets all the attention from both men and women. He made some stupid comment that "people" may think I'm cracked out. What an insult as I've never done drugs ever, but he looks anorexic and exactly like a crackhead. In the time of me knowing him, he's aware that I had a boyfriend that I used to come in with in the 90's. Later in life, I have come in often to see bands as a lesbian, but not so obvious (as most times I go put alone). I think maybe he's a homophobe, even though he has a lot of feminine traits himself or jealous or even mad because he can't get a shot with me. Never heard an owner discourage people from having...
Read moreThey said they were open until 2 am so I ubered there. They were closed at 11 PM. Don’t waste your money. I can’t believe the man that walked out to me they were closed offered to walk me down the street to find another bar that was open. Nothing was open. I will never come back and I will tell all my friends to not come here because we shouldn’t support small businesses who dismiss our safety and don’t care about the people who come to spend money at their business. The owner should not be in the industry. Who ever owns this business needs to have some empathy for their customers. Don’t spend your money there. I’m so disappointed with the way I was treated. If they were cleaning the kitchen like they claimed, then why did every associate walk out of the business while I was waiting for my uber? The man who told me they were closed smirked at me while he was leaving. I just spent my money to come here. Why would you treat me so poorly. What is wrong with these people. I just spent so much money coming here and they don’t even care. I’m so disgusted with that man treated me. He should never represent a bar. He has a lapse of judgment when it comes to customer experience and safety. In a bar setting, there’s no room for that. I will do whatever it takes to make it known that this man should never represent...
