Pacific Oriental Express — Restaurant in Milwaukee

On a quest to find the best chinese restaurant in my area, judging them on two things. Wonton Soup and Spring Rolls. ... I'm going to hold off on judging their wonton soup, because... they were out of it. There's a lot of say about their atmosphere and service, but that doesn't really contribute to good take out food, so i'll leave that alone. I will say however, despite ordering the wonton soup it took them awhile to realize they were out, to then come back and retake the order.

They had advised me against ordering the spring rolls, since they were small, and recommended egg rolls instead. I prefer spring rolls since they're usually freshly cooked and not frozen and more traditional I've been told. Of the restaurants I've been to, the best deal on spring rolls 3 for $2, others may have 2 for 2 or 1 for 1.69. On the other hand, their wonton soup was more expensive than others I've tried, that might have translated to more product, but i didn't get to see it...

Despite them advising me otherwise, their spring rolls are normal sized, with a crispy outside and a tasty filling, I can't wait to try their wonton soup though. I'll update this rating once I try the soup with more stars. ... or less,...

If it were possible, I would give 0 stars, except for the counter service (the lady working the counter and answering the phone, around 2:30 pm, was very kind and respectful).

My Pepper Steak, Shrimp Fried Rice combo plate (with Chinese Fried Chicken pieces ), was totally tasteless, unseasoned and the rice was sticky and gummy!!!

The portions are so much smaller. The proteins in the Pepper Steak and Shrimp Fried Rice were missing! Literally, No meat! I have had much better food, prices and portions, at other Chinese restaurants. This awful meal was $14.00!

The menu prices have increased and are very expensive! Not worth the price paid!! The online menu list lower outdated prices and charge an additional $1.75 convenience fee, for placing your order online!!?

It is apparent that the owners are concerned with making high profits, and giving very little. There are no other nearby competitors!!!

I have been ordering food from here for decades, literally, since the day that they opened, and I have never felt so disrespected!!

I've been going to Pacific Oregon for a very long time. I'm talking about 20 years. And I have a long day been open and I've never gotten anything but good service. No one has ever told me that my shrimp egg roll also incorporated pork. Because all I'm ordering is shrimp egg rolls. No one ever told me that until November 30th I was there midday but yeah, everything I had was horrible. I wanted shrimp. So I ordered the vegetable egg roll which was burned. And then I ordered a order of shrimp or a appetizer. Oh, shrimp, I don't know what that was. It was horrible but good luck. I don't even believe I'm the same...
