Riverwest Tavern — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Just a bar for a regular customer! This place was not what I thought it appeared from the outside. Not classy, pretty dark, no tables and quaint. The place was very small and sit off in a residential area. It was kind of spooky to me. All whites were sitting on one side of the bar and blacks on the other side. The bartender/or not was not familiar with the current drinks or cocktails being sold. I really wanted to leave once the environment was observed. But, since I was invited to meet up there by a friend I stayed. I guess a regular spot if you are a regular customer. I would not recommend taking a date there just not the place. If you are a man not woman and want to drop in and have a drink after work then this is the place for you, once you become a regular customer. But, I do not plan on going to that...

Friendliest bar owner and awesome bartenders. The bar is really clean and also friendly to dogs. The owner puts out fresh water and treats for the neighborhood dogs walking by with their parents. I am from Chicago stayed at an Air bnb in the area. My boyfriend and I stopped by for a refreshment. They were so welcoming and friendly. Really great local bar. The bartender was incredibly friendly and engaging with everyone in the bar. I came there knowing no one and felt like everyone was my friend by the time I left.
