Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the front door. We were greeted with a warm smile, Julie explained the pizza sizes and beverage selection. We ordered (Caesar salad and Hawaiian pizza with 1/2 pepperoni), and took a seat. I few minutes later Julie arrived with silverware, honey, (related to their dough and process- which is delish), napkins, and 2 pans of raw dough for the boys to play with while we waited. The service was unexpected-it was outstanding. She came to clear salad plates, bring more beers, check on the kids, etc. Then the pizza arrived, steaming hot, and cooked to perfection! The boys loved the big slices! When we were finished, one of the kitchen staff saw my boyfriend waiting in line. He decided to come back to the table and let the line quiet down- 1 minute later the guy from the kitchen was at our table making sure everything was okay. Brought our leftover pizza back, wrapped it up and delivered it back to us. The place was full by the time we left (there’s only about 5 or 6 tables) and a constant stream for pick up. The atmosphere is lively. People looked to be having fun. The kitchen is open so you can watch them flinging dough and making pizzas. Overall-it was an amazing experience and will be our go-to...
Read moreWe randomly stopped by here since we were in the area on a little weekend trip from Washington to Oregon this past Memorial Weekend and saw a pizza sign on the road by what looked to be a small castle. We then looked up pizza places in the area and saw a nice little place called Milwaukie Pizza Co that had excellent reviews and tasty sounding pizza. We stopped in and ordered the Omnivore and honestly had the best pizza my wife and I have ever had. The dough is a stand out feature and has a wonderful flavor and texture. The toppings were pilled thick and had a nice fresh flavor to them. The honey they give to dip your crust in is an excellent perk. Our kids loved the pizza too, even if they were a little apprehensive at first about some of the vegetables sitting next to the meat. It's a family run business and it was really cool talking to the husband and wife about their passion for the pizza and their restaurant. We're already planning another trip to Oregon this summer that will definitely involve us stopping by here again. We can't wait to try some of the other pizzas!
Plenty of parking here and there is also a restroom inside. Oh and they have some great ciders from a local cider company, so that was a...
Read moreI support this local business because I want Milwaukie to develop into having more food options that are not just fast food and I love pizza. This is a very dependable place. I appreciate that the crust isn't soggy or doughy and they try to shoot for a thinner crust with toppings to the edges. The toppings are distributed well and not over or under done. It's similar to Pizzacato in flavor and style, but less bubbly crust which is fine. I reheated leftovers in our convection toaster over and they come out great. To me that's another sign of a good pizza. If the ingredients are good and the crust is the right proportion to the toppings it should crisp up perfectly once the toppings are heated. For reference my favorite pizza is Apizza Scholls in Portland, so I lean towards wood fired pies and I'm not expecting non wood ovens to make the same result. This is great classic pizza you can depend on and I'm glad they are in the area! One business related recommendation is to have a more visible street sign. I would have never known this business was there if I wasn't using Google maps to pick up our order. The fact they are hidden away a bit makes me think that could be affecting business???...
