Your Host Motel — Hotel in Milwaukie

HORRIBLE Service!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! Me and my girlfriend are Texas natives who recently moved to Oregon 2 months ago. We wanted to explore different parts of the portland area. We found this motel while we were walking by. Stopped to get a room and the manager of the motel "IVY" (I Believe her name is) gave us a beautiful room for a lower price (so she says) while the owner was away for a few days. We loved it! Left the next day with the room in tact and in good condition. Before we left we made sure to tell "IVY" we wanted to come back the following week on a Tuesday/Wednesday. We arrived again the next week on Wednesday. IVY gave the room we wanted to stay in to another customer because "he was a long time customer" so apparently he had 1st dibs? Even tho we scheduled for the room ahead of time. Then proceeded to tell us she thought we said Tuesday ONLY and not Wednesday. (She forgot the days we scheduled for) And blamed "US" for her "Forgetting". We Paid her $300 right then so we could reserve a room for the next 5 days in the room we were offered and liked. Because we didn't have our "pre schedeuled" room for the night we slept overnight at the PDX airport. The Next day we showed up at around 12:30 (the time she said to be there, so she could clean our room and make sure it was available. (Checkout for the previous person should have been at 11:00 am. When we got there to check into our room. She told us the room wasnt ready yet. AND the person paid for 3 more days. So we couldn't have the room. She moved us into a different Smaller room that in her words was "really messed up" The person had a DOG in the room and it smelled like cigarettes and Marijuana. The shower didnt work so we had to take baths instead. And the floor was soaking wet because they had just mopped it. (Not a good job btw) She gave us 2 keys for the room. 2 days into our 5 day stay she moved us into ANOTHER room which also smelt bad but was "slightly" better. We made sure to give her BOTH keys back. She "LOST" 1 of the keys and accused us of trying to steal a key. WHY WOULD WE DTEAL A KEY??? Especially if you can just change the looks in 2 minutes. We stayed the remaining 3 days ONLY Because we already gave her our money. At checkout she accused us again of stealing a key for our current room. (SHE ONLY GAVE US 1 KEY) But FORGOT she did and said we stole a Non existent 2nd key. Called me on my cell phone while I was at work a couple days later to tell me We were banned from the motel forever because we "stole 2 keys" We didnt and she forgot where she placed them. Or was Flat out lying. Why Idk. Maybe because I am a black male and my girlfriend is caucasion? Maybe because Im a military veteran? Maybe because She doesn't like Tourists? Either way... I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO ANYONE! Its a trailer Park that was converted into a motel and unfortunately they run it that way. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! ITS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME. If your looking for an affordable and safe place to stay-no matter for how long-where you don't have to worry about who was last sleeping in the bed your about to be-this is it! Your host is very carefully and concisely cleaned for such an incredible price. Impeccable and cared for accommodation. Its makes for an extremely comfortable and relaxing stay. Ive traveled from state to state on a weekly basis, staying in every kind of hotel/motel for 10yrs, I know for a fact that for as fairly priced as Your Host is, the entire establishment is hands down THE MOST cared for and possibly sought after motel-like dwelling I've come across. Has a full kitchen and stove with oven. Good people stay here and its child friendly. Antoinette runs this motel by herself, but she has good, help. Your Host Motel is currently being updated and is a work in progress; come on down and take a look. The exterior may look a little rough, but that too will be redone as resources allow. Here, the rooms for guests are first priority. The newly updated units are beautiful and clean! They have tile showers and floors, new cabinets with granite counter tops, comfortable new beds, DirectTV, and wifi is available. About 1/3 of the units have been updated and the rest are soon to follow. Heat pumps with air are also coming soon.
