Budget Lodge Milwaukie Inn — Hotel in Milwaukie

If I could give 0 stars I would. First off I’d like to start off by saying that when I checked my family into this motel it was already an extremely difficult situation being faced. The first impression was horrible! The day time woman had nothing but HORRENDOUS customer service. I checked in my mother and my HANDICAPPED bed bound GRANDMOTHER and uncle Into this room because she had to unfortunately leave her old home and is currently needing a motel until she finds a new home to purchase! I’d like to add that this motel was paid in full for 6 more days but they gave some excuse saying that her insurance cancelled when in fact the insurance had not! But the manager could not / would not show any sort of proof. Now picture this, my grandmother who depends on oxygen 100 % all day being told she had to leave right away! It’s the weekend and not a single option for a UHAUL/or truck rental. She has heart problems and the stress of it is not easy. To add insult to injury the harassment was extremely frustrating while we dealt with screaming at all hours of the night from neighboring patrons and kids that were up and yelling and running all over the parking lot. But they chose my family to be the most inconsiderate and un- accommodating to. While they have a kitchenette it’s nothing to brag about, and smells horrendous. The beds aren’t too bad I guess but they are pretty hard. The sink that is for washing hands had a GIANT hole in it which I’m sure is causing leaking issues which will probably cause issues at a later date. And the housekeeping was very pushy. Asking for any sort of toiletries was more than uncomfortable. The place had ants and was definitely not worth the $125 a night that they charged. I could probably go on and on but I won’t. If you have the opportunity AVOID this place like the plague. It’s NOT kid safe. You could bring your dog here if you want it to go potty on a pile of rocks that they have around the side. And if you do decide to stay here don’t plan to spend ANY time outside your hotel or you’ll be harassed & stared at! I would recommend trying MOTEL 6 or BUDGET inn if you are on a budget or literally anywhere else you can swing. I will not be returning or recommending this place. The way we were rushed out of the hotel was less than pleasant and left us no time to really clean or make sure we had all of the belongings left inside of the room! Again. Disgusting management. The female manager who always wares her hair inna bun and has pretty black hair. At 1st meet put me into a room that cought on fire by using stove. I tried baking my dinner and immediately had to turn off, so the whole building didnt catch fire! When I called and told her(Bun-dusa) that the room was filled with smoke, I couldnt breath and I needed a different room she stated " Mam its a holiday weekend and I have no vacant rooms"! I was APPALLED and I couldnt wrap my head around what she just told me. When I realized she wasn't going to move me even though my room was filled with smoke. I suffer from Asthma I told her CLICK IS ALL I HEARD. BUN-ZILLA HAD JUST ENDED COMMUNICATIONS AND I WAS SOL. Not this Fireman's daughter! I marched over and made it clear the deadly serious issue was not at all resolved. I was eventually called and moved to another room only cause the other person working the front saw the common sense solution and over ruled Bun-keinstiens. Ive been here now 2 weeks and she countinues to not give me clean linnen or towels. Any time I leave my room she cancels my key card. She has a crush on me I guess. I would never stay here again or recommend it to your in-laws. She has serious issues of An unstable mind. I will start by saying that this place IS a budget motel, and while there exist better places for the price, it serves its purpose, and I rate it as such. The rooms are of decent size, and even include a stove, microwave, and mini fridge in a small closet kitchen. You get one full bath that is a tad cramped, with the sink outside the door, but the hot water works just fine. You get a new-ish TV with around 30 or 40 channels, the first dozen being news networks, and an auxiliary channel for your own device. They also have smoking rooms for smokers. My biggest complaints are the wifi and the cleanliness. While they offer free wifi, it did not work for me at all. I couldn't say if I was simply in a dead zone, as it would connect but would not allow me to get online. I ended up using my phone as a Hotspot. The cleanliness of the room was rather poor; the place just felt and looked dirty and grimy. The stove was left with old grease and oil on it, and the bathtub with dirt and grime running down the corners and the remnants of used soap on the shelves. Most of the cabinets felt and looked old and in need of overdue, proper repairs (several bandaid repairs were left as permanent).
