Mystery Gallery is an amazing gem on the South end of Milwaukie, Oregon. It is a crystal shop and metaphysical store. They sell everything from tarot/oracle cards, incense, statues, books, bags, pouches, natural & cruelty-free skin care, wind chimes, clothing, dishes, healthy drinks, and the list goes on. But, what they have the most of and probably are most recognized for is their huge collection of crystals and stones for all price ranges, and their knowledge about the health (mind-body-spirit) effects of each one. They have stones ranging from less than a dollar to over $10K! MY EXPERIENCE: When I'm feeling blue, this is one of my favorite places to visit. The energy of the crystals in generals helps me to center and ground. I've bought shirts, mugs, crystals, bags, wall tapestries, books, statues, and salt lamps from here. Haven't regretted a single purchase. I have bought uncut sapphires here for under $1 each. The one thing I don't have in my collection that I need before I leave is a red drum. They have a few animal-skin drums for shamanic journeying and I want to purchase one before I leave the state. The owners Doug and Kathy are very authentic spirit-heart-centered individuals. Doug is a bit more intense and energetic, and Kathy a bit more laid back. But they both are a plethora of knowledge about whatever you want to know. They get their crystals from auctions and crystal shows, especially in the Southwest USA. They even have products from local metaphysical authors. And compared to other metaphysical stores, they are attentive and always try to acknowledge you when you arrive. The thing this shop has that others don't is a real heart-centered business philosophy. In fact, each stone or crystal they sell is accompanied by a little piece of paper that you can take that explains what mental, spiritual, emotional, and physical healing they can be used for. This is something that is lacking from the other crystal shops and rock-hound places I've been. Kathy has always been kind to my wife and I. In fact, she gave us a $60 selenite crystal lamp as a wedding present last year! CAVEATS: This is a mom & pop small business, so you may have to wait in line a little bit, but boy is it worth it. There are at least 3 other crystal and metaphysical shops in about a 20 mile radius of Oak Grove, but for the combination of large selection, variety of products, and helpful, service-oriented staff (the owners are usually there working right along side the other staff to answer any questions). Like many small businesses they generally don't open until 11 AM. CONCLUSION: If you are looking for crystals to use in healing or just for aesthetics (because they look pretty) I highly recommend a visit to Mystery Gallery. The owners and staff are highly knowledgeable and will work with you one-on-one to ensure you get the right crystals/stones for your needs. Also a great place for hippy, animal totem, indigenous, angel, and even some alien-themed clothing. If you are looking for witchy stuff or angel stuff, they have that too including incense, sage, Santeria candles, tarot & oracles cards, runes, etc. Go check them out! BONUS TIP: Taking a selfie next to one of their colorful outdoor wall murals makes a great DIY postcard!

I've been to a lot of metaphysical stores in the area, and while I think that Mystery Gallery holds a lot of value, it is not one of my local favorites. They definitely specialize in crystals, incense, etc. and I'm more of a word witch who loves to devour books about magick, of which they barely had any. The store was rather busy with a surprising amount of people, so unsurprisingly, I didn't receive much service or help until the time I paid. The employees at the register were super nice, though, and they certainly know their way around minerals and rocks.

The misses and I come here for the amazing selections of such beautiful stones, pendants and jewelry. The staff includes the owners who all are very intelligent people in respects to the job they have. They all are Incredibly well knowledged about the seemingly endless stones and there properties.i was looking for a very specific ring ( blue lace agate) low and behold they had several to choose between and to top it off it was a perfect fit, size (and price)

I used to love this place so much! Would count down the days for it to open, my go to shop for all the unique whimsical witchy things but lately every time I have visited, the experience just gets more unpleasant & worse. It is supposed to be a place with healing calm energy, but one of the girls that work there makes it SO UNCOMFORTABLE & DRAINING by watching you like a hawk, thinking you are simply stealing their stuff every freaking time!!!!It’s not just once or twice, it has been every single visit since I started paying attention & noticing her eyes on you from head to toe, her deceiving and fake attitude with comments like “ooh you’re basket is getting full, want me to hold it for you”, constantly following you around not only with her eyes, and she doesn’t even hide it. Even my husband, who introduced the store to me & used to go there since opening, related feeling the same way, noticing the same conduct I related to him & that this specific worker was making his own experience uncomfortable — and he wasn’t even holding a basket or buying anything. We want to have a calm, mystical experience, take our time and enjoy the diversity of each item under this “healing” environment - but unfortunately the last 5 visits have been the complete opposite with an inconvenient worker who can’t even control her bias thinking you’re stealing shit lol. Today was were I drew the line, was calmly looking through the crystals & rocks to prepare a Litha altar for summer solstice & this same girl, stands right by me & comes with her eyes almost popping out of her face, watching every step I took — I was literally right in front of her, with tons of cameras surrounding me. She couldn’t even try to make it less noticeable, every time I put my basket on a different place, whenever I put my phone in my pocket or any move, she would turn her head around like a possessed doll with giant hawk eyes — SO INCONVENIENT AND UNCOMFORTABLE! 🤢 I never sensed good energies emanating from her since day one anyways. Not only that, but things have gotten absolutely overpriced, I have spent over $500 at this place in the last 6 months, like come on now, every time I go is like $80-$100 do you really think I’m stealing? Do you think karma isn’t a biatch? I will definitely not be returning for a while now, enough giving my money away to an employee who has no respect for customers and no self control over their so biased & judgmental work conduct. All the other girls, you’re all kind & genuinely helpful, thank you for not ruining the shop for me! Please, improve,...

Things have just changed at what used to be one of my favorite stores. They still have an amazing variety, shop is clean and comforting . Yet showing up today after not being able to make it in in 6 months which has been the longest I’ve gone not coming in . Show up a there is maybe 3 other people start looking around because o my the amazing things you can always find in this place . Then the store starts to fill up which I understand due to limited days it’s open ok cool . Yet I have 2 idems in my hand an I get drawn in to the cards an I start looking . Making sure I’m staying out of the way a still getting to fully look . Have 2 or 3 employees either make eye contact or walk right past me don’t say anything . Not do you need to see something can I help you nothing ……. So I looked up the names of what I wanted on my phone sadly put my ideas back an went else where never thought this would be how I got treated in a store I’ve been coming to for over 9 years off an on for things I have always needed an they have always had . Been in the store lots of times they were busy an just an never had that or anything like that happen. Sour taste for my last trip I’ll be making there I will for ever wish them the best but...
