Johnny's Pizza House — Restaurant in Minden

So let me start off by saying this is my FAVORITE pizza house...sadly my supper I ordered last night was ruined when my order wasn't right called in a personal pan deep dish pepperoni pizza requested deep dish twice over phone that was my husband's pizza then my pizza which was supposed to be sausage bell pepper onion mushroom then order of bread sticks ok I drove 45 mins from home to pick this pizza up went threw drive threw paid for order looked at my husband's pizza because he insisted on deep dish pizza for weeks his pizza was thin crust so I drove up took it back in where a guy asked wat was wrong told him the pizza is thin crust I'm not taking the pizza back to my husband I don't want thin crust was asked who did I place order with come to find out the manager took my phone order BJ the manager came told me they don't even make personal pan deep dish so I told em well no one told me that when I was ordering he acted as if it bothered him to refund me...wat a shame. But he did then snatched the personal pan pizza up and flung it in trash as to make a scene about it. So I drove home looked at my pizza and with shock my pizza had no sausage on it so I called back up there I was put back on the phone with BJ so I tell him who I am and how my pizzas not right so he looked it up and told me repeatedly that he personally made my pizza and there's sausage on the pizza so after arguing I asked him when I bring the pizza up there and show him there's no sausage will he continue to argue with me about the sausage then he got really smart mouth yelled I yelled ended up hanging up on him he was screaming so loud I just can't fathom how he is a manager I will NOT visit this location as long as this unprofessional employee works there!! I waited 40 mins on my pizza drove 45mins and spent 30$ for my night to be ruined my dinner to be ruined my husband and son dinner ruined as well all because johnnys pizza assistant manager is beyond rude unprofessional no customer service skills and never was I apologized to once!! I eventually got the number to Mr. Matthew the manager he was very apologetic told me to come up there today and he would try and make it right which I'm very thankful for!! I would hope someone takes action with this BJ who really in my opinion should be fired...

This was my first time trying Johnny’s and it left me a little disappointed.

I walked in and walked up to the counter. There was a very young little girl waiting for an order and she had to ask the workers if it was ready. It had been sitting there and she was standing there when I walked in. The guy at the register halfheartedly took my order and never cracked a smile.

When I started getting my pizza off the lunch buffet the same not so friendly character was adding pizza. I asked him about a buffalo pizza 🍕 to which he mumbled something inexplicable that I took as no.

The buffet consisted of the usual pizza, pasta, & salad with a couple dessert pizzas. They don’t put much effort into the buffet pizza. You get the usual cheese, pepperoni, & supreme and there was also sausage. They did add a ham pizza that had pineapple and that along with the supreme was the most flavorful. The pizza disappointed me. For all I’m concerned, it could have come out of a box from the freezer section of the grocery store. It wasn’t that hot and didn’t have much flavor.

The salad bar is a typical small pizza buffet salad bar.

This isn’t like a CiCi’s or Stevie B’s where they have a wide variety of pizzas. You are going to get the basics on this buffet.

The restaurant is older and leaves that needs to be cleaned feeling.

To answer the nagging question, “Would I go back?” I wouldn’t for the buffet but might give a specialty pizza a try at some point and see if that changes my opinion...

About two months ago, we ordered two pizzas one sweep the swamp and one sweep the kitchen. They brought them to our table and we took them home to eat. When I got a piece of the sweep the kitchen, I bit into something hard and spit it out. It was a pearl pierced ear stud. It had a sharp end on it. My wife called the next day and spoke with the manager (they are 20 miles away) and told him about it. He was only concerned whether or not it had stuck me in the mouth and said he was calling a meeting with the employees that day bc they were not supposed to wear jewelry while preparing food. He told my wife he would not be there the next day but would be there the rest of the week. He said he would refund our money and they set a day and time and he was not there. She still has the pearl thing in her purse and we have stopped to see the mgr one more time and they told us he was not there. He had stated that Tuesday was his day off and we have worked around that but have not been able to catch up with him. I will never recommend that place to anyone and the manager is trying to avoid us. This is food safety at its worst. Think about this if you go in and order from Johnny's in Minden Louisiana.* After this review, corporate contacted us to offer refund and coupons but we declined and ask them to work on their staff to make sure this does not happen again and he assured us that it will...
