I went into your Burkes- Minden 346 location today at 1626 this evening. When I was checking out, the cashier stated one of my items didn't have a price on it. When I tried to show/inform her that the item did have a price on it. She yelled at me and stated, "No it does not." Standing beside her was another cashier, who was listening to our conversation, and she confirmed that the item did have a ticket attached to it. The cashier just looked at me stupidly and started to grin. She failed to provide an apology for the way she treated me.
Upon me arriving at the counter, not once did she greet me. Is it company policy not to have a name badge? She did not have one on, so this prohibits me from giving you her name, nor was her name listed on my receipt. This was a young African American female, with twists in her hair that had color on the tips. Once she finished ringing up all my items, I asked if your company honored military discounts. Once again she rudely told me no and did not bother to confirm with the Manager or another associate.
As I gathered my belonging and was leaving the store, not once did I receive a thank you for your business from the cashier. She just handed me my items and walked off to start back chatting with her coworkers. I noticed there were three young African American females standing behind the counter just laughing and talking. No one was busy doing any work. I presume one of the ladies was a Manager (because she looks older), but no one took the opportunity to say thank you, goodbye, or please come back again.
I have plenty of opportunities to shop anywhere, however, I chose to patronize your establishment. Since your cashiers are rude and the customer service is subpar, I don't think you will ever receive my business again. If I could give you zero stars I would, however, that is not an option.
