Overall: 4 stars Atmosphere: 4.5 stars Service: 3.5 stars Food: 3.8 stars Fairly slow service: We came about 30 minutes before close, and we were the only ones in the dining area besides people at the bar and it took quite a while to get our food, over 20 minutes. I could see that they were fulfilling lots of take out orders, so that's probably why. But I'm surprised they didn't prioritize customers dining in. Fun atmosphere; I like the way they decorated with plants, and lights. They also had some catchy Mexican music playing Mixed food quality, but overall good; Enchiladas with beef and green sauce (5 stars). The sauce was really flavorful, nice cheese pull, and well seasoned beef. The beans were clearly homemade, you could taste the onion/garlic/mexican spices they were cooked in! Orales salad (2.0 stars). This was pretty bland. It said it had a cilantro dressing, but I could not taste cilantro at all. Instead it was a confusingly sweet dressing with no discernable spice/herb profile. So mix that with a standard lettuce (which was starting to brown) beans and corn mix, and it was a rather underwhelming salad. (Sorry!) Fish taco (4.5 stars). They served with with a very large piece of fish that was well fried, topped with some crunchy veggies and a sauce. Super good! Beef taco (4.0 stars) this taco seemed a bit small for the price, but the steak was cooked well and I loved the spicy salsa that was served on the side.

Got takeout from Órale. They’ve always been good and one of my most favorite spots. I got the California burrito with carne asada and esquites. The California burrito comes filled with french fries, your choice of meat, cheese, refried black beans, melted jalapeño cheese, sour cream, and house-made aioli, and is served with chips and salsa. If it’s not obvious enough I stopped through on April 20th, because this is exactly what you want to get. —A BURRITO WITH FRIES????? It’s a no-brainer. Esquites is Kernel corn, stewed in Mexican herbs and chicken broth, topped with mayo, cotija cheese, and chili powder. I’ve gotten their elote in the past as well and it was always fantastic. On this trip they did not have their elote, so opted in for the esquites, which is a similar dish. This was mainly what knocked down a star for me, because the corn was a but dry. But that’s not a complete and upset complaint; cotija cheese & chili powder make everything taste better so regardless this was still good. As well I would recommend their churros as churros are always a treat that everyone deserves. I plan to try their churronuts next time I drop in! Staff is always friendly and nice!

I've been searching for a place in Minneapolis that served a good California Burrito and I finally found it at Órale! They serve it up with some great refried black beans, gooey queso, and you can't forget the French fries. The flavor is outstanding and this burrito is huge! They also serve up many other great dishes including Concha Hamburguesa, Birria Tacos, Filipino Tacos, Swimming Burritos and Loaded Carne Asada Fries. They recently expanded their space and opened up a small bar which serves up some tasty cocktails. My favorite so far is the Boozy Mangonada which uses some delicious mango puree and served with rum. I could drink it by the pitcher. Prices are reasonable especially for the beer and cocktails. The staff is ready to serve and answer any questions you have. I love to order ahead when I'm heading home from work and pick it up to bring home for dinner. I can't wait until this summer so I can enjoy some cocktails on their patio!

Not a good experience - a friend recommended this place for lunch yesterday; I arrived 15 minutes early walked in and ask the cashier worker can I sit and wait for my friend - He says "No" that I would need to purchase something in order to wait...I said "Really?" so I purchased a Mexican Soda - and stood and waited for my friend - Meanwhile another guy comes in "white guy" the cashier worker had asked what he would like to order - the guy says he's waiting for a friend - he never bothered to inflict the you must buy something in order to wait for your friend policy - like he did me - My friend arrives and I told him my experience while waiting for him. I'm african American and I've never in my life had that happen to me before in any establishment; and because of it I wasn't able to fully appreciate the food or enjoy the restaurant period..I will be following up with the Better Business Bureau of this incident..

Follow up to your response; This is what I experienced in your establishment - If your manager is looking at someone only to assume they are loitering and especially when I asked could I wait for my company to arrive and was told I had to purchase something? in order to do that? again he didn't do it to the white patron who walked in; he did it to me and I'm black - That's overt racism and could get your establishment into much trouble - its not a good thing and especially not a good look to the restaurant. I didn't notice any SIGNS in your window saying no LOITERING I didn't notice any signs near your cash register that says you must buy something in order to wait for your friends to arrive...I explained what the next steps will be in my first review here...There's nothing really to...

Be cautious going here...

Orale posts one set of prices their website, but when you arrive, you find higher prices posted inside on their menu board. Then, unknowingly, they charged even more at the till. Why?

It seemed shady from the start with the misleading pricing, and we could have just left, but of course, because we were already through the door we decided to stay. In hindsight, we should have just left.

Then, after paying and waiting for our order, we noticed yet another upcharge on our receipt that was done through their till (always get a receipt or you might not catch it). When we asked about the discrepancy, they seemed 'confused' and never bothered to explain it (or offer a refund) and walked away.

Unprofessional and questionable business conduct to say the least.

They also charge a credit card surcharge, which (again) we noticed afterward. It's understandable places charge fees for using credit cards, but it would have been nice to know beforehand to avoid paying the extra fees - on top of the other questionable upcharges.

From our experience, this place seems pretty unethical and not worth visiting, unless they make some necessary improvements for transparency to customers. Otherwise, it just...
