Located in a quite residential neighbourhood, this old water tower has knight sculptures holding swords around the base, and eagle statues at the top. There are several paths leading up to the tower and benches around. A quick stop to learn about an old water tower that is still used for water pressure today.

We live near the water tower and when we go for a walk we always like to go up to the tower. From up there you get to see a beautiful sunset if you time it right. You definitely have to check out the view at deferent seasons. Just take the time to walk up there and enjoy!

Awesome! Beautiful neighborhood and cool structure. I looked up the history and it was very interesting as well.

I have admired this neighborhood landmark since my childhood. Early one morning in the 1950's an airplane (which had clipped the tower) mysteriously crashed on the south side of Minnehaha Blvd. Without noticeable damage to the tower it took a long time to find the missing airplane parts, which were in landscaping around the tower and explained the crash. The tower is clearly marked as a hazard in 1950's era...

Go alone and at night if you want the full effect of the guardians... delightfully creepy!!! Plus, the feeling of being alone, up high with the eight monumental gentleman clones is increased by understanding it's history. Even at a cursory level, one appreciates the deep concern for humankind that this art deco water tower represents. No admission, no gates, just trample up that hill...
