This is my first review, and its purpose is more to commend the service of one individual than to complain about others. We ate at Fat Lorenzos earlier this evening, and something went wrong somewhere. We watched people seated after us get and finish their food long before we received ours. Eventually, our server came over, half-apologized for the delay, and told us it would be about another 15 minutes. No other explanation was given. I'm guessing our order didn't get entered or there was a mishap in the kitchen. Understandable, but sucking it up and admitting to your customers when something goes wrong goes a long way.
It was probably another 25 minutes until we had our food. Food was great.
Now, onto the actual purpose of my review... We were seated in the busiest part of the restaurant, at the end of a row right between the kitchen and the servers station. Every order came right past us. The woman I assume was the shift manager came by us probably 40 times while we waited. Neither our server nor the suspected manager seemed to notice that we sat there without food for an extended time. As we closed in on an hour, we did get the "another 15 minutes" apology, but then we were invisible again.
The one bright point was a young man who was not our server. He briefly visited with us earlier in the evening as he was passing by. Later, he was passing by again, as every server in the place did with every order, and noticed we still didn't have food. Again, not his table, not his customer, not his tip...he asked what we had ordered and went back to kitchen to check it out. Came back and let us know it was just coming out of the oven.
His shift was just ending as we were leaving, so I visited with him on the way out. Let him know that we noticed that he cared about what was going on and encouraged him to keep caring more than the rest. We didn't complain about our service to him, just thanked him for giving a little extra. He pointed out that our server was relatively new, throwing no one under the bus to make himself look better.

Read moreI order from Fat Lorenzo’s regularly for my business and it’s always delicious, delivery drivers are always really friendly and on time. Today I picked up my large business order due to the snow storm. I was greeted by a really friendly guy on the register (the same one that took my order). In the middle of paying for my order an older male behind him (assuming it was a manager/owner) yelled his name and started berating him in front of myself, 2 other customers and 3 of his colleagues. He was cursing at him in a hostile manner for “f*ing up orders” he was taking and threatening him that he would be removed from his position. The cashier apologized and turned towards me to finish the transaction clearly upset and trying to hold back tears, even a colleague told him in a sincere manner “it will be okay” while the cashier wiped his eyes. I can’t begin to explain how uncomfortable this was for me and everyone else let alone the cashier who was embarrassed in front of a room full of people. I hope this review is read by someone in the establishment that can follow up with this absolutely unprofessional person and make some changes because the cashier did not deserve the demeaning tongue lashing and embarrassment he endured. I hope this person can also receive some monitoring and training of how to respectively talk to his employees, especially when they drove through a foot of snow to be there and especially in this day in age where times are difficult as it is, they don’t need to be yelled at in an open waiting room making them feel worthless for making mistakes that everyone does....
Read moreI was eating with my daughter at the server with angle wings in the back of his neck was treating me poorly in front of my daughter. I had made an error, first I ordered my food over the phone for pick up. But when I went in I changed my mind I wanted to sit down with my daughter. I know they don’t make reservations so I didn’t bother to ask. However the cashier asked the server if we could sit and he came to tell me it would be an hour wait. I said ok I’ll wait. It was snowing that day so it would have taken an hour to get home anyways. Then I saw the server sit down people before me. But my name was on the list before them. I said something to the guy with the wings on the back of his neck in Spanish and he say my daughter and I in the back by the bathrooms. Ok, then he lectured me on why they didn’t want to sit us down. Ok, then I checked my food in my bag and it was incorrect what I had ordered. He got it fix and brought back to my table in a Togo container, then proceeded to give me dirty looks as we were sitting down eating. Then as my daughter and I were eating he asked us if we would move tables so that another family could sit down, there were other tables available, I said NO! By that point I had enough I paid for the food and I told him how even tho I made a mistake, I’m still a customer. He didn’t care to listen to my complaint. I have been eating at fats since 2007.
