The carnitas burrito was like a wet tube of flavorless paste. I couldn’t even finish it. The side rice also had no flavor. Only the tres leches cake had any redeeming value. Because sugar. Service was even worse than the burrito. I ordered take-out and got there right as the order was made ready. The person in charge of takeout overlooked my order and just told me to wait inside. No estimate. No “let me check on that”. While I’m waiting I notice the people at the bar aren’t wearing masks. Facing employees. Talking and spewing respiratory droplets everywhere. The manager checks on me, passing the maskless people and saying nothing. Minneapolis has a mask requirement so this was a clear violation of local laws enacted for public safety. Whatever your politics, science and our law says to wear masks indoors. Ten minutes later my parking meter is about to run out so I get up to ask about my order. The person just acts confused and asks my name again. Then discovers that there’s a bag with my name on it that has been sitting there getting cold the whole time that I was sitting waiting. Oh, and they forgot the guacamole. That I paid for. And there were no free chips. Could there be a worse cardinal sin in all of Mexican restaurant-dom? Once was waaay more than enough. This fake Mexican restaurant is not getting another dime from me. There are too many legit delicious Mexican-owned family restaurants around for this disgusting mess. ✌️🤢 P.S. Two stars because I still have cake in my mouth and it’s hard to be mad at sugar. But it’ll go to -2 when I have to purge this refuse they call a burrito.

This was a random pick after searching for a long time. I felt this could be a good place and it was. The ambiance and place was well decorated. It has a nice patio which is well decorated with tables and nice wall paints. Food: coming to the food they do have nice options. The appetizers list was huge and loved them. 5/5 - Empanadas were a delicious and portion is good 5/5- Fire cracker chicken lettuce wrap was a bomb. We totally loved this dish and enjoyed it. 2/5- I tried there vegan chorizo as I usually love meat chorizo and I was disappointed. I wish they have the real chorizo on the menu. 4/5- tacos were really delicious 4/5 - Tres leches cake was delicious but I do have a thick layer of cream on top and that spoiled the taste a bit for me. Drinks- I took a Lago margarita and wasn’t impressed. But my wife had a mocktail and she loved it. Service- service was fast and quick. We dint have to wait a long time for food or service. She was quick and professional. Suggestions- They can upgrade there patio furniture and some tables looked old and were not comfortable to sit at. Also since it’s an open patio may be they need to keep the floors clean a bit.

Lagos Tacos in Lyn-Lake is a great spot to grab some tasty tacos. The food is generally delicious and the atmosphere is lively and fun. However, the happy hour menu is a mixed bag. While the prices are great, the food during happy hour can be hit or miss. On some days, the food is just as good as it is at other times, but on other days, the quality seems to suffer. Additionally, the staff can be a bit hectic during happy hour, running around and forgetting to bring all of the sauces that come with the tacos. Despite these minor hiccups, Lagos Tacos is still a worthwhile visit. The menu is extensive, and there are plenty of options for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The drinks menu is also quite good, with a nice selection of beer and cocktails. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or catch up with colleagues after work. Overall, if you're looking for great tacos and a fun atmosphere, Lagos Tacos in Lyn-Lake is a great option. Just keep in mind that the happy hour menu can be hit or miss, and be prepared for a bit of chaos during busy times.

5 stars for their staff, wonderful, friendly, inviting, and efficient people running this place for sure. 0 stars for their food and their ambiance/space. We'll average that out to 2 stars. After days of eating soup while being sick, I finally felt well enough (and not contagious) to venture out to get some serious solid food. All I wanted were some decent chips&salsa, tacos, and some boozy margaritas. I found all of these at Lago Tacos, but all were terribly underwhelming if not to mention downright gross. The chips and salsas were all bland as can be, no deftness of spice, no heat, just blah. The tacos were a sad mess. I ordered fried avocado and opted for the hot sauces, these were just crummy salsa verde and a strange capsaicin-less habanero variant. Just WEIRD and dull. I also ordered my tacos on corn tortillas, yet they came out on white flour. I know from working in the food industry, you don't send stuff back, that is asking for trouble. So, I just soldiered on and ate my flour tacos. But, I barely could because they were so gross. Initially, I had to remove about two fist fulls of lettuce from on top of them. Who does this to tacos??? Please drop the lettuce and step away from the tacos!!!!!!!!! This is a no brainer, has anyone anywhere ever had tacos buried underneath mounds of lettuce?? I've had tacos in NYC, SoCal, AZ, NM, and all over TX and I've never witnessed a taco smothered in lettuce. Again, just bizarre. The ingredients inside the tacos tasted cheap- bad avocados, and just some cheap ranch with jalapenos diced up and thrown into it. Probably all off the back of a Sysco truck. And, finally, those margaritas. It's on draft, which just seems bogus. I mean, it's probably minute maid lemonade. And I can only make this assumption based upon the fact that they were almost too sugary to drink. Once again, the word gross comes to mind. After I returned home I had a stomach ache for 2 hours. Oh, and did I mention that my bill after all this? After the tip, it was $48. That's what my Sunday afternoon of tacos and margaritas cost me. So, let's get this straight, I essentially paid $50 for nasty, bland food, cheap overly sweetened drinks, and to be left with a terrible stomach ache. If these are the things you desire Lago Tacos might be the place for you. My suggestion though- look elsewhere, or just buy the ingredients and make better food and drinks at home. I would never return here. So...

Worst service I've had thus far in the twin cities (which already has bad services in general to begin with) so that's saying something!

This place had zero redeemable quality! Absolutely horrible customer service! Bad food and disgusting hygiene/cleanliness and cramped bar/venue)!!! Never again!

Came first time and inside bar was full so went to outside and sat down only to be completely ignored for 30 mins by blond almost crew cut hair dude in red flowery Hawaiian shirt. The drinks from the previous customer sat in front of me the entire time while he walked up and down and asked both parties on my right and left of they wanted anything! It was although I was completely invisible and had to make sure this wasn't a dream by pinching myself. Even my ppl next to me noticed and said they feel bad.

I got up and went inside and saw an empty spot where a female bartender was working - it appeared she had much more customer service. Sat down, she cleared up everything and gave me menue. It took another 15 mins to order something - a margarita with no lime. Well they added a lime to it anyway and the female bartender digs it out with her uncleaned hand. I reoderored beer and that took additional 10 mins and then it took another 20 mins to order food - I literally had to shout multiple times for her to hear me just so I can place my order. I kid you not when I say inc I place the order it literally took 35 mins for me to get it while she walked around laughing and conversing my food must've sat somewhere cuz it came cold soggy and disgusting. I eat half of it (Wish I haven't! Hope I don't get sick) and quickly left! I left zero tip i have quite literally never done that before!

This place had zero redeemable quality! Absolutely horrible customer service! Bad food and disgusting hygiene/cleanliness!...
