We had a good meal and good service. I tried the Jack Daniels mushroom pork chop and my husband the shrimp dinner. His brandy Manhattan was good( he makes a great one). They both came with Veg and potato. We both enjoyed our meal. We usually have hot turkey dinner which is always good. Felt they were keeping safe practices and as no masks that is that. Sanitizer located thru out casino. This year we stopped for lunch and open 7am-2pm. The service was great. I had walleye breakfast and it came with hash browns, eggs & toast. My husband the hot beef sandwich (very large portion). Breakfast all day long!

Slept over and had diner and breakfast there. For having a wait list they are good at managing it. We were surprised how the food tasted good. :) would love to try it again if we sleep over.

We walk in it is fine we get to our table are seated tell the waitress its separate tickets we order our drinks and appetizers I ask to keep the menu cause I wanted to order something to go for later our drinks come right away our appetizers take forever but finally come out And we are told that if we wanted to order anything else to order it then because they close at three when the online hours show Sunday 7 AM–9 PM Monday 7 AM–9 PM Tuesday 7 AM–9 PM Wednesday 7 AM–9 PM Thursday 7 AM–9 PM Friday 7 AM–3 PM Saturday 7 AM–9 PM

That isn't the case and now we had to stay we already had ordered our drinks and appetizers so we decided to stay then we ask for a to go container for one of our appetizers we have to ask three times before we finally get one and on top of that our waitress said she would bring us 2 big to go containers as well when we didn't ask for them (we were getting kicked out) so we put our stuff in the containers and then she told us we were welcome to stay as long as we want as they still had things to do (clearly not she was was kicking us out) and in addition to that remember we asked for separate tickets she brought us one when we told her the mistake she couldn't even remember who ordered what (not a good waitress) so she brought us our final tickets and we put out exact change no tip (she didn't deserve it from us)

At some point we were the only ones left and people kept peaking out of the kitchen as if waiting for us to finally leave so they could go

Overall I was highly disappointed Bad service Uncomfortable Felt rushed Misleading but The food was good

When we first come in and asked for a table we should have been informed that they closed at three if we had been informed we wouldn't have went there we would have went somewhere else

Suggested a change in hours and it was approved now it says 7-3...

This was in Hinckley MN at the Stories Diner. Waited forever for a to go order then the gal told us to stand by the other counter. I stood there for ten more minutes. Then to find out there was a 15% extra charge for a to go order which I didn’t know. I asked if I sat at a table and took a note and tried to eat then could I get it to go the supervisor said I had to eat half. The supervisor Tonya could not find the sign that said there would be an extra charge. John the manager came to talk to me as I told him I wanted a to go order because I didn’t feel good otherwise I would stay and he said pay it or not I will not make an exception was cold and with a harsh voice to the point I cried. I told him I would be writing my review and he told me he did not care. Thank goodness for Katherine Who was a fabulous Waitress because they made me sit down. But then I get my order home and no ranch and blue cheese with either of my wing orders that I ordered.

Stories store owner I see you wrote back to me, but the link that you put on there does not work. When you click on it, it takes you nowhere. I highly suggest John be talked to how he is running the store and maybe a few classes and customer service would do him justice. And Tanya, the supervisor didn’t even know where the sign was that talks about the 15% ridiculous up charge for it to go order You would think you would want people to order to go because there certainly wasn’t enough staff there to take care of the tables that were there in the dining room. When I got home and saw no ranch and no blue cheese with the order of the plain chicken wings there were nine of them in there for $15.49 Was a lot to play for plain chicken...

Went to place a to go order, since we are staying upstairs. Was informed there would be a 15% service charge added to the order because "This is a sit down restaurant not a fast-food restaurant and the to go boxes are expensive" and the "15% is for the wait staff, because they will have to pay taxes on the order I place and they will have to enter and retrieve the order."

I'm not sure if this place is owned by the casino or not but I've been in a few hotels and casinos over the years and this is the first time I've ever been asked to pay to take food back up to my room to eat it.

And based purely on this service charge I will never return to this casino again. because after the casino owns the diner and is trying to manipulate customers into coming downstairs in order to gamble more or the casino charges such a ridiculous rent that this diner has to hire rude/combative staff and nickel and dime their customers just to stay...
