We were in town and exploring options for dinner establishments. We love Indian food and this was a great choice. The restaurant is clean and inviting and quiet enough to enjoy a conversation. Our waiter was prompt to the table and attentive offering drink options. We ordered drinks and our meals and both arrived in an appropriate amount of time. Our meals: The Mulligatawny and Dal soups were out of this world. Both were fresh and extremely flavorful and served hot. The Lamb Korma was tender and the sauce pungent and delicious. The Chicken Biryani which was a huge portion, was very colorful with tender chicken and served with a side of Raita, also very fresh tasting. Since I prefer my dishes a bit more spicy tho, I asked for some spicy chili sauce on the side which added to the overall deliciousness of the dish. The garlic Naan was plenty garlicky and just as we like it. Lastly, we took the mango custard to go and when we got it home it was quite liquidy. The taste was good and there were pieces of mango in it but I'm guessing it needs to be eaten right out of the refrigerator. It was not too sweet either which was good. We thought the prices were reasonable given the portion size and authentic preparation of the dishes. I would highly recommend this place if you like or want to try Indian cuisine. CJ, the manager, was friendly and informative and thanked us for stopping in. We will definitely return next time we...

When my wife and I moved into town we were disappointed that there were no Indian restaurants in town. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw that India Clay opened up down the road from our home.
The food was really tasty, we ordered the Garlic Naan, Chili Chicken, and Chicken Tandoori. The price of the food was fair and the food was filling.
The restaurant had a really good vibe, wasn’t anything overwhelming but you could tell the owners put thought into placement of different decor and the music they played.
The restaurant owner (maybe manager?) was actively working the floor and making sure everything was going smoothly for all the staff/customers. He was extremely polite, as were the staff who waited on us even.
The waiter was extremely polite, and even though the restaurant was near full, I didn’t feel like he was ignoring our table.
I will be coming back, it was a great experience...
Read moreMuch-needed and welcome addition to the Minot restaurant scene. Kudos to Kuljit and team for daring to start an Indian restaurant in Minot of all places! The restaurant is located at the former Bones BBQ location (latter having moved to Broadway, closer to the airport). The place was full of locals at lunch, with a line forming outside - an excellent harbinger of things to come (hopefully). Interior was somewhat redone from the Bones BBQ set up, with more tables and booths. A buffet is served at lunch and while it had all the meat and vegetarian staples, the distinctive Punjabi flavor pleasantly stood out. Buffet options were plentiful, service was prompt. Set our party of three back by $54, including a 20% tip. Not at all bad for these high food- inflationary times! Kudos again. Hope the restaurant remains...
